Variable House - a unique finished design for an energy self-sufficient house

01 of March '23

The Polish investor's road to owning his own home does not have to be long or stressful. The solution turns out to be the Variable House - a unique finished project by Daniel Cieslik's studio - ANTA Architekci. The house can be configured like a premium car and completed turnkey throughout Poland. It is completely self-sufficient in energy. This is possible thanks to energy supply from a solar roof, facade or carport from SunRoof and innovative energy storage and management technologies.

The Variable House is a modern, single-story passive building with an optimal area of 143.61 sqm, equipped with the best smart home installations and integrated photovoltaics, among other features. The design is meant to fit the future residents, not the other way around. Investors can configure the interior layout according to their own needs and preferences. However, we do not assume any interference in the external outline and construction of the house, because we want the Variable House, thanks to its unchanging shape, to be able to fit into as many plots of land as possible throughout Poland," says Daniel Cieślik, architect and founder of ANTA Architekci studio.

Variable House in four views

The Variable House was created on the basis of 20 years of experience of ANTA Architects studio in the implementation of nearly a thousand projects in different parts of the country. It is an excellent alternative for those originally interested in buying an apartment - it provides much more privacy and the ability to choose where it will be built.

Depending on the conditions of development, zoning or the preferences of future residents, the project can be implemented in four versions: with a flat roof, solar gable roof, hipped roof or multi-pitched roof.

For the project, we chose modern SunRoof solar technology, which provides a refined combination of aesthetics and functionality in every detail. Examples include the photovoltaic panels on the facade. At the same time, it is a façade that matched our architectural vision with its design. In addition, SunRoof introduced minimalist carports and solar roofs into the design, which are also the covering of the house. This will provide residents of the Variable House with practical yet visually appealing solutions," points out Daniel Cieslik.

Home of the Future Smart House

The energy needs of the Variable House are met by energy from the sun, making the building energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

Integrated photovoltaics is an effective way to achieve a superior design while achieving maximum energy independence. The electricity generated by the SunRoof 2-in-1 will power electrical appliances and heating systems and charge an electric car. Surplus energy produced during the day will be stored in an energy bank and used after sunset. This will increase self-consumption and optimize the return on investment in photovoltaics," says Lech Kaniuk, co-founder and CEO of SunRoof.

For the investor, this means not only savings on electricity bills, but also more comfortable living and security. The Variable House is equipped with a range of smart solutions that often go beyond the budget in individual projects.

Home automation transforms the building into the Smart House of the Future.

In a smart home, we can more efficiently manage the clean energy produced by the advanced SunRoof system, monitor the amount of electricity generated and redirect the surplus to where it is currently needed. Such future-oriented solutions help us live sustainably, so I am very pleased that our solar roofs, facades and carports have become an integral part of the Variable House," concludes Lech Kaniuk.

As the architect, Daniel Cieslik, explains, Dom Zmienny is for everyone: both for young people who want to live comfortably and modernly; for couples who plan to expand their family; for people who have grown-up children and no longer need a large house, and for people who have been used to a high standard and comfortable living for years.

The Variable House is an excellent example of minimalist, functional architecture. The simple body provides for two layouts of rooms: living area plus two bedrooms or living area plus three bedrooms. On the other hand, the investor can choose a specific version of the project and home furnishings using the Variable House configurator available online at www.domzmienny.pl.
