Eclectic interior with a hint of BOHO

10 of January '22

When designing the interior, the architects wanted elements of boho style to be felt in it. The eclectic decor is based primarily on strong color accents. The house, as well as the interior, was designed by designers from MM Architects.

The house was located in Tarnow so that from the plot one can see "Marcinka", or St. Martin's Mountain. The investors decided to build their new house in an area they knew well. The building was erected on a plot of land that was created by combining three others.

On the first floor, the living room and dining room were placed on the southeast side. The kitchen was located on the west side of the house. In addition, two bathrooms and a study were located on the first floor. On the first floor another two bathrooms, three bedrooms and a dressing room were designed. The first floor was connected to the first floor by a mezzanine, which was opened to the living room.

The dominant element of the living room is the fireplace, whose hearth was placed at a height of one meter, while its casing reaches the level of the mezzanine. The fireplace was clad in navy blue and black tiles with a variety of patterns including smooth textures, geometric designs, as well as floral elements.

The light sources in the living room are lamps in the shape of large circles with a diameter of more than a meter. They were suspended at different height levels. Additional light sources are small spotlights placed on structural elements. Coffee tables placed in the living room repeat the shape and shade of the luminous rings.

An important element of the interior are works of art. On the walls were placed paintings by Zbigniew Nowak from the "Smoker" series, also appearing in other interiors. A sculpture of a dancer made by Maria Niewiadomska was made especially for customers.

Dining room and kitchen with a unified character

The dominant element of the dining room is a table made of solid walnut, where meetings are to be held with relatives and friends. The chairs in the room are based on a single, forked leg and finished with navy blue fabric. The dining room is illuminated by small glass lamps suspended above the table.

The kitchen directly connected to the dining room is maintained in a similar character, which is due to the use of a uniform range of colors and materials. The furniture fronts were made of walnut veneer, referring to the built-in furniture and the table adjacent to the kitchen island. A decorative mosaic was placed above the kitchen countertop, kept in a blue-gray shade. Between the kitchen and dining room, graphic works by Anna Bacik were placed on the walls.

green atmosphere

A wallpaper with a unique motif was used on the bedroom walls - lush green vegetation evoking exotic character and mysterious keys. The climate was complemented by mirrored cabinets and accessories - pillows, bedspreads, vases and artwork.

The most important goal for the architects was to strongly emphasize colors - primarily navy blue and green. The interiors show a fascination with boho style, revealed in the use of various materials, furniture and textures.
