Architects and designers visited the Wielkopolska Children's Health Center in Poznań

02 of March '22

One of the most modern children's hospital facilities in Poland has opened its doors to designers and architects. As part of its "BUILT" series, SARP Poznań organized a walk-through, during which it was possible to see up close the interiors of the Wielkopolska Children's Health Center even before the opening of the facility. The event's partner was Lena Lighting, a patron of the Poznań branch of SARP, which illuminated the project. The meeting was hosted by Jakub Glaz.

The Wielkopolska Children's Health Center will begin admitting young patients in the first half of the year. The facility is one of the most modern investments of its kind in Poland and the largest to be built in Greater Poland in the past 30 years. SARP Poznań's invitation to visit the facility prior to the hospital's official opening was therefore met with a great deal of interest from architects and designers from the region. Due to pandemic restrictions, the event was held under a sanitary regime with a limit of people.

It was definitely one of the most interesting visits in recent times. Wielkopolska Children's Health Center is a very innovative facility. The design impresses with modern technology, functionality, and the interiors are very child-friendly. Particularly noteworthy are such solutions as pneumatic post office and robot pharmacy, which automatically distributes the necessary drugs. A great impression is also made by perfectly designed, energy-efficient lighting, building the atmosphere of the facility and the individual rooms, depending on their purpose and the needs of patients," says Magda Wypusz from the Poznan branch of SARP.

We are really proud of this realization and are happy that our lighting will serve children. Light has a great power to create atmosphere, can significantly affect our mood and well-being. The designers of the WCZD have used this important function of lighting very well. Besides, the whole project puts the little patients at the center. This is a very good example of a modern medical facility. We are glad that Lena Lighting could be part of this project," says Jacek Adamczewski, Sales Director of Lena Lighting.

A total of more than 7,500, energy-efficient led luminaires were installed in the six-story, 30,000-square-meter building, as well as outside, including specialized LABO lamps for the sterile hospital rooms, as well as Tytan luminaires, famous for their superior light performance and resistance, or Quest and Flato floodlights. The Wielkopolska Health Center also installed a number of striking designs likeTerra, Lungo, Piatto, SQ 600 and Arto lamps, which were supplied by Wielkopolska lighting manufacturer Lena Lighting.
