A unique meeting with Silesian architects devoted to the contemporary architecture of Upper Silesia will soon take place at the Silesian Museum in Katowice on December 3 at 6 pm. At the meeting we will reflect together on issues related to the Silesian school of architecture. You are cordially invited!
During the December debate under the motto "Contemporary architecture of Upper Silesia" we will talk about Silesian identity. About how in Upper Silesia tradition is combined with modernity, what legacy modernism has left there. We will consider whether Silesian architecture today is just a collection of unconnected buildings and realizations created in a specific geographic location, but will we still find in it a strongly defined identity?

Participants will include: Alicja Knast - director of the Silesian Museum, Robert Konieczny - head of the KWK Promes office, Przemo Łukasik - founder of medusa group, Oskar Grąbczewski of OVO Grąbczewscy Architekci, Małgorzata Tomczak - editor-in-chief of A&B, Katarzyna Jagodzińska - editor of A&B and lecturer at the Institute of European Studies at the Jagiellonian University.
