AUTHOR'S DESCRIPTION [excerpts].

When designing the body of the theater, we kept in mind the height of the neighboring Music Academy building. The principal height of the designed theater definitely does not exceed the ridge of the Academy of Music, and the height of the theater on the side of Skośna Street is aligned with the height of the suspension of the gutter of the historic building's roof, which is important in the perception of the scale of the newly designed street and the contact between the theater and the historic building of the Academy.

The architecture of the building refers to simple modernist forms, appropriate, according to the authors, for this place, very much dominated by the close proximity of the Academy buildings and the technical infrastructure of the railroad tracks and buildings. The minimalist, rhythmic detailing means that the designed theater building does not compete with the rich Neo-Renaissance facades of the representative edifices of the Imperial Quarter. It establishes a kind of dialogue with them by forming a new square on the side of Św. Marcin Street, whose most important "walls" are the facades of the Academy of Music, Collegium Iurudicum and Collegium Minus. The front facade, designed by the authors, reveals the main hall and foyer, inviting visitors, for example, to see the exhibitions or performance performances organized there. It also reveals the principle adopted by the authors of uniform shaping of the building's external and internal form.
