Warmth and harmony all year round. Clava Wood collection of sensual lamps

01 of February '22

Clava Wood lamp collection created by Umage

Warming power of wood, art and minimalism - this is how the Clava Wood line of lamps by Danish brand Umage can be described in a nutshell. It is part of the biophilic design trend. It is a design in line with the idea that humans are part of the natural world, and their life processes are linked to the order of nature.

In the design of architectural spaces, one can see an increasing participation of nature. Whether in the choice of materials or in the use of technological solutions to positively influence the environment. Among the finishing elements, it is also worth noting decorative lighting that builds a positive "emotional" atmosphere of the interior. This type of product can include the Clava Wood Umage collection of wooden lamps. Clava was created on the basis of craftsmanship, requiring accuracy and precision. The shade of the pendant lamp and wall lamp consists of wooden ash wood lamellas placed close together on an oak core. Each piece is unique and will differ in the grain of the lamp's central panel.

Natural lunch

The Clava Dine Wood pendant lamp is dedicated to lighting tables, its sculptural character will emphasize minimalist interiors devoid of unnecessary decorations, but will also fit in with more opulent designs full of natural plants. To meet interior trends, designers William Ravn and Søren Christensen created a lamp that emits soft, friendly light, but also serves as a decoration for the table and the entire space. The light, reflecting off the natural-colored wood, has a warm color, and also effectively oozes through the openwork shade. The Clava Dine Wood model lived to see three interesting color shades, in addition to natural oak, there is also dark and black oak. The unveiling in dark wood is more elegant, mature and will make a great visual counter.

Sensual Spa

Based on the design of Clava Dine Wood, the designers went a step further and came up with a successful version of Clava Up Wood, which can be a wall lamp or a plafond. The striated, striking shade creates an eye-catching play of light and shadows. The juxtaposition of several pieces on the wall of hotel, restaurant or spa interiors will create a light installation of unique character. To make it possible to create unique light arrangements on the wall or ceiling, William Ravn and Søren Christensen offer two sizes of wall sconces. The larger Clava Up Wood Large has a diameter of almost half a meter, while the smaller Medium model measures 35 cm. Here, too, we have a choice of dark and black oak shades. The luminous Clava Up Wood is associated with Balinese relaxation, a sensual approach to biophilic hotel interior design along with spa spaces, where monumental vegetation and wooden architectural elements, and the absence of a canopy, give people a sense of care and concern, fusion with nature and a comfortable space for regeneration. The Clava Up Wood collection, despite having a northern European pedigree, fits into this world.
