Invest in energy independence and enjoy comfort in your home

The building, located near Walbrzych, was situated at a height of 650 meters above sea level. Its area is 250 m2. The walls were built in the traditional technology of the time, with bricks and stone. During thermal modernization, the windows were replaced with wooden ones and the walls were insulated to a thickness of 80 cm with a layer of 15 cm of polystyrene foam.

Heating system: monoblock heat pump STIEBEL ELTRON

The owner of a 19th-century building decided to heat his house ecologically with a monoblock HPA-O 13 Premium air source heat pump, which was mounted on concrete blocks outside the building. An SBP 200 E buffer tank was installed in the utility room, while domestic hot water is taken care of by an SHP-F 300 Premium series DHW heat pump.
In this case, it was decided to combine the high efficiency of the heat pump with a STIEBEL ELTRON ventilation system. It allows central control of temperature and air quality. Their low consumption naturally helps minimize the costs of heating, cooling and hot water preparation.

Ventilation system: decentralized recuperators

The building implemented the modernization of gravity ventilation and the installation of modern decentral recuperation with heat recovery in each room. A total of 6 VLR 70 Trend EU units and one VLR 70-8 CU central controller were installed.
The use of heat recovery ventilation - especially in old houses - brings a host of advantages. From improving indoor air quality, reducing dust, smog, odors and mold to ensuring optimal humidity, reducing energy consumption and avoiding moisture damage to walls.

Indoor units and outdoor covers on the building wall

VLR 70 L Trend EU recuperators are very easy to install in rooms with an exterior wall. As a result, selected or any room can be effectively ventilated, and the modern design and construction of external covers prevent traces on the facade of condensation.
