"Design Star for Domoteka" is a series of meetings organized annually by the Domoteka Design Center with renowned interior designers, designers and architects, during which they share their experience and unique design approaches. This year's edition of the event will take place on October 19 at Domoteka in Warsaw. This time, the event's special guests will be esteemed German designers Silja and Norbert Beck, founders of the Beck Design studio and winners of the industry's most prestigious awards, such as the Red Dot Award and the German Design Award, among others.

On October 19, 2023 at 7:00 pm at the Domoteka Design Center in Warsaw, Silja and Norbert Beck will give the only lecture in Poland on contemporary design, in which authentic craftsmanship inspired by nature still plays a fundamental role.
The lecture will be followed by a meeting and discussion with the designers, hosted by Dorota Stępniak. This year's installment of the "Design Star for Domoteka" series will also be accompanied by an exhibition of original works by Silja and Norbert Beck.

Centered around Norbert Beck, the Beck Design studio combines high standards of quality and timeless design with southern nonchalance and elegance. Norbert Beck
Born in 1959, he started out teaching arts and crafts. This was before he founded his own design office in 1988 and started his business as a furniture designer. In the early years, he was mainly involved in creating dining room tables and pull-out systems. He also designed beds, chest furniture and chairs for seetalswiss.
Since 1997, he has been working with the Rolf Benz company. As a result of this cooperation, his attention has shifted over time to designing lounge furniture. In 2010, he began a successful collaboration with Dutch leisure furniture companies LEOLUX and PODE. Beck is also working with other furniture manufacturers, and as of 2019 also with Freistil by Rolf Benz.

Silja Beck
Born in 1967, before studying architecture, she completed school in interior decoration and upholstery. In addition to caring for their three children together, she worked as a freelance color and interior designer for private clients for several years. Since 2013, she has been working at Beck Design.
