New stainless steel press system from Viega Temponox - a complete solution for high-quality heating and cooling systems

23 of January '23

Viega is launching a brand-new Temponox pipe and fitting system on the Polish market, designed for the installation of durable and safe heating and cooling systems. The wide range includes press fittings made of chrome-nickel stainless steel with diameters from 15 to 108 mm.

The application area of the Temponox system is heating and cooling. The entire range is marked with two brown lines on the pipes and dots of the same color on the fittings. The fittings additionally have the symbol of a crossed tap (not suitable for domestic water) and clear notches on the peaks. This virtually eliminates the possibility of confusion with other Viega stainless steel products approved for domestic water installation when working on site, even in low light. It also prevents components of different systems from mixing together.

High corrosion resistance

Temponox is an attractive alternative for high-quality heating and cooling systems designed for demanding operating environments. Thanks to its excellent anti-corrosion properties, stainless steel pipes with matching press fittings guarantee a long installation life. With the Temponox system, there is no need for additional corrosion protection when moisture penetrating through the screed comes into direct contact with the pipe surface. This often happens with improperly protected radiator connections coming out of the floor or as a result of accidental damage during installation work.

Even with the risk of condensate formation associated with closed cooling circuits, we do not need to use additional expensive corrosion protection measures. It is also worth mentioning that stainless steel pipes ensure the aesthetic appearance of the entire installation.

Complete range

Temponox is a complete system, consisting of pipes and fittings with diameters from 15 to 108 mm. In addition to standard components such as bends, tees, couplers, threaded transition fittings and flanges, the range includes all necessary mounting components for heating and cooling systems.

All press fittings are factory-fitted with an EPDM sealing element. For installations with higher operating temperature requirements, they can be easily replaced with FKM seals. This applies, for example, to applications in connection lines for vacuum collectors.

The installation of Temponox press connectors is carried out using the tried-and-true Viega Pressgun and matching press jaws. So there is no need to invest in additional tools to work with the new system.

High quality, safety and ease of installation - these are the main advantages of Viega's new Temponox stainless steel pipe and fitting system for heating and cooling systems.

The application area of the Temponox system (heating/cooling) is clearly marked. Pipes are marked with two brown lines, while fittings are marked with dots of the same color and the symbol "not suitable for domestic water," plus clear notches on the peaks. This prevents accidental confusion with stainless steel products approved for domestic water installations.
