The hotel in Sarajevo houses 192 rooms. The main inspiration for the designers was the 1984 Winter Olympics - an event that the city's residents still remember as a period of the city's heyday. In the interiors, the designers envisaged sports accents, a mural by Karol Banach and local handicrafts: carpets, kilims, furniture, copper trays. On the other hand, intive's Wroclaw office is a modern work space with a human center of attention. Inside, the designers have provided rooms for team and individual work, fashionable furniture, murals by Lukasz Kulikowski and potted flowers.

Our main specialty is hotels. That's why the ibis Styles Sarajevo, which opened in April 2019, was our sure bet in this competition. It is bold, original, unconventional - proving how far one can go within the interior concept of a hotel chain. We've already seen it generate a lot of media attention around the world. [...] In the office category, we didn't feel so confident. However, our office design for intive - a large international IT company - also had what we are best at - the spirit of hospitality. Hospitality, on the other hand, is something that is now beginning to rule in all kinds of public interiors. It's not just a hotel or restaurant that needs to be hospitable, but also a workplace, a store, a showroom, an airport lounge or a trade show booth. A person in these spaces is supposed to feel comfortable, to have room for his individuality, for his needs. He is supposed to feel that he is received with respect, openness and attentiveness. It is his experience that determines the success of such a place," says Piotr Kalinowski, CEO and artistic director of MIXD.

Awards in this year's International Property Award 2019-2020 also went to other Polish studios. Among the winners were: AP Szczepaniak for projects: Kwadrat, Krakowska 29 and Atal Towers, Mobius Architekci for the Green line house project, Arche for the design of Folwark Łochów and theArche Geologiczna hotel interiors, Cavatina Holdings for the Global Office Park project, medusa group for the Akademeia High School project, Tremend for the Metropolo By Golden Tulip hotel interiors project, Mood Works, RS Studio Projektowe, Tilla Architects, HOLA Design, Pulva, Nizio Design International, MIKOŁAJSKAstudio, Deer Design, Inter-ArchArchitekci and Poco Design.
