Some stories indicate that bagels (not to be confused with obwarzanki!) were invented in the 17th century in Krakow, Poland, to be a gift given to women after the birth of a child. Other sources report that they arrived in Poland as a gift from Vienna, given in honor of King Jan Sobieski's victory over the Turks. Either way, this round bread quickly conquered the world and became a foodie landmark of New York and now also... Poznan! Poznan!
We are talking about the premises of Bagels Etc. on Wodna Street in Poznan, whose multicolored arrangement is the work of Anita Lupa, Jerzy Wozniak and Pawel Garus of the mode:lina™ studio. What builds this interior are juicy colors and bagel-like geometric shapes - circles appear here on the floors, where they separate individual zones, in the lighting, and even in the bathroom mirror.

Before we sank into the colorful bagel madness, a lot of energy, experience and knowledge was consumed by the functional analysis of the premises. The goal was to optimize customer behavior as much as possible, while accommodating complete catering technology and maintaining a variety of seating areas. We created a space where there is something for everyone: high tables with hockers, window seats, a large communal bench with movable tables that allow combining for any number of people, and a seating area for the courier

appetizing interior
Shortly after entering, customers encounter a central communal table with a spreading plant, while the counter, in turn, is located deep inside - its withdrawal, according to the architects, made it possible to avoid crowds and invite guests inside the establishment, where a variety of table configurations await them.

The interior is dominated by warm colors - red and yellow - which are said to stimulate the appetite. These cozy hues are broken by blue accents. However, a real feast of colors awaits guests in the arc-shaped area, the wall of which is decorated with a multicolored wallpaper designed by Lukasz Kosy A.K.A. Guru Gomez, author of the brand's visual identity. The aforementioned arch was an element that the architects found in the arranged space - the team duplicated this motif in several places in order to make the functional division of the premises more attractive.

a pinch of madness
Soft shapes, various textures and expressive colors define the space, and are strong accents against the background of neutral wood elements (tables, the main part of the bar) and bright tiles from Maja Ganszyniec's collection.

Wood, used on the tables and in the main part of the bar, introduces warmth and coziness, while the color madness gives the interior a unique character. Colors delineate the boundaries of zones, smoothly permeate between the planes of the floor, walls, ceilings, creating a coherent, though unpredictable whole
- conclude the architects.
