In April 2026, Deceuninck 's portfolio will expand with the new Legend Slide Plus lift-and-slide system. It is a hybrid construction that combines the advantages of HST lift-and-slide and PSK tilt-and-slide systems, responding to the growing requirements of investors, joinery manufacturers and end users in the large glazing segment. Deceuninck was recognized for this solution in the "Innovative Solutions of the Joinery Industry" program at the 37th VIP Joinery Convention.

Legend Slide Plus was designed as a system that combines the functionality known from HST with the principle of PSK construction. When the handle is turned, the sash unlocks, moves away from the frame, and then slides smoothly and silently along the running track - even with large dimensions and weights.
The system makes it possible to make structures up to 5400 mm wide and 2500 mm high, with support for sashes weighing up to 200 kg. The use of matched bogies translates into stable, lightweight operation and reduced force required for closing, which in practice eliminates typical operating problems known from classic PSK solutions.
Legend Slide Plus is a response to the clear direction of the market, in which not only the size of the glazing matters, but also the predictability of production and installation. When designing this system, we focused on combining high performance with simplified construction and increased technological flexibility for joinery manufacturers. The possibility of using typical perimeter fittings, mounting the sash without removing the top guide or joining the frame without welding are specific solutions that translate into multi-level efficiency, comments Krzysztof Kalita, Product Director at Deceuninck Poland.
Simplified installation and greater manufacturing flexibility
Legend Slide Plus was designed to optimize production and assembly processes. Embedding the sash in the frame is done without removing the top guide rail, which reduces installation time and manufacturing risks.
In addition, the system allows the frame to be joined with fasteners - without the need for welding. This allows the frame to be installed directly at the construction site, which is important for large structures or developments in hard-to-reach locations.
Compared to the previous generation of Legend Slide, the Plus version gives the possibility to use typical perimeter hardware from different manufacturers, increasing the technological flexibility of production facilities and facilitating integration with existing processes.

Particularly noteworthy is the way of solving the issue of installation and servicing. The simplified process of embedding the sash in the frame without removing the top guide is a concrete benefit for manufacturers and contractors - translating into work efficiency and cost optimization. The chapter of the program "Innovative Solutions of the Woodwork Industry" appreciated the comprehensive approach to the design of this system and its potential for wide application in modern, energy-efficient construction.
Tightness and performance in the standard of modern construction
One of the key features of the system is the use of perimeter seals, which are pressed against the frame in the closed position. This solution ensures high tightness and very good insulation parameters - Uw as high as 0.73 W/m²K. The system achieves wind load resistance up to class C3 and watertightness in class 7A. The possibility of using glazing packages up to 55 mm thick further strengthens the system's potential in energy-saving projects.
Compact design and modern aesthetics
The system is distinguished by a smaller installation depth compared to classic HST solutions, which widens the range of applications - both in new investments and in modernization projects. The narrow 9-millimeter overlap emphasizes the minimalist character of the structure and fits in with current design trends in residential and commercial architecture.
Legend Slide Plus will be available from Deceuninck from April 2026, strengthening the company's position in the fast-growing international sliding systems segment.
