Annopol Depot, the fifth streetcar depot in the capital, was built in the Białołęka district, at 5 Warszawskich Tramwajarzy Street. The facility was designed by studios PAS Projekt, Czyż Mariusz Siblej, PIG Architekci, Prota Polska, Systra, and its General Contractor was a consortium of ZUE and Yörük Yapi Inşaat. The investment, with a contract value of PLN 716 million, as an important part of the development of Warsaw's rail transportation network, was subsidized by EU funds. Over 20,000 sq m of the largest and most modern streetcar depot in Poland, Flowcrete resin flooring was used, and technical advice was provided by experts from Tremco CPG.
The Annopol depot is the first streetcar depot built in Warsaw since 1963, when the "Żoliborz" depot was opened. The implementation of the investment was subsidized by the Cohesion Fund from the Infrastructure and Environment Program 2014-2020 and the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment Program 2021-2027. The construction of the facility was necessary due to the launch of new routes, including to Wilanów. Without this depot, Warsaw Trams would not have been able to handle the increased traffic tasks.

Poland's largest streetcar depot
The new Annopol depot covers an area of 12 hectares and is made up of a complex of 14 buildings serving as technical, technological and administrative facilities. As part of the investment, 55 streetcar tracks with a total length of 16 km have been built and 100 switches have been laid, while the Parking Hall itself allows for the garaging of 152 railcars, each almost 33 m long.
This largest and most modern streetcar depot in Poland was awarded in the 11th edition of the Architectural Award of the President of the City of Warsaw in the "Commercial Architecture" category. A number of technologically advanced solutions have been applied, including an intelligent management system that identifies each streetcar entering and leaving the depot and enables the setting of its route to service or parking stands, and the control of switches and semaphores is carried out automatically, without the participation of motorists.

The new Warsaw Trams investment features resin floors of the leading Flowcrete brand on a total area of more than 20,000sqm , made with materials and technology manufactured and supplied by Tremco CPG Poland.
In the large-scale halls of the Annopol Depot, where streetcars are serviced and repaired, the use of resin coatings was envisaged, which protect the concrete from dust and perform well in medium traffic. An important criterion for the selection of the flooring system was its chemical resistance to substances used in vehicle servicing and its non-slip surface. It was also important that the floor be easy to clean, refresh or repair after any mechanical damage in the process of operation.
Flowcoat SF41 easy-to-clean floor
In response to these needs, among others, Flowcoat SF41 slip-resistant flooring was specified for the Repair Hall and the Daily Service Hall, including the inspection channels, washing facilities and the streetcar interior cleaning station.

This thin-layer flooring system made of colored epoxy resin with quartz sand backfill, with a total thickness of about 2 mm, is designed for use in production areas, warehouses and workshops with heavy foot traffic. The technology of making this coating allows the degree of anti-slip to be adjusted according to user requirements. It is seamless, easy to clean, and economical - any repairs require minimal surface preparation.

Selected rooms at the Annopol Depot, such as spill areas for flammable substances and explosion-prone areas, required specialized flooring with anti-electrostatic properties for ATEX zones. In addition, due to the intensive conditions of use, such as in the repair shops, high mechanical and chemical resistance and a non-slip, rough surface finish were required.
Robust and resistant Flowfresh ESD SR UV coating
The aforementioned requirements were placed, among others, in the Paint Shop Hall, which includes two independent booths - preparation and paint-drying booths, paint and varnish storage, server rooms, and in the carpentry-tapestry rooms. The proposal from Tremco CPG experts, accepted by the investor, was the specialized Flowfresh ESD SR UV system . This flooring solution is created on the basis of polyurethane resins and carefully selected aggregates, cements and fillers. At the same time, it meets the requirements of EN EIC 61340-4-1 and EN EIC 61340-4-5 for dissipating charges from the floor surface to ground. In addition, thanks to its high abrasion resistance, the coating performs well in areas exposed to intense mechanical loads.

Both of Flowcrete's resin flooring systems at the Annopol Depot were made in a light gray color, as per the investor's special request. The glossy finish of the coatings reflects light, brightens and optically enlarges the interiors with an industrial character, and fits in perfectly with their carefully designed aesthetics.
