International Architecture Biennale Krakow 2023

Hours of on-stage and off-stage debates, long backstage talks, award and decoration ceremonies, exhibitions, workshops, great atmosphere and hectoliters of coffee drunk! That's how this year's edition of the International Architecture Biennale in Cracow can be summed up in a few words. Emotions have not yet subsided, and we already have some surprises for you!

Behind us is the International Architecture Biennale in Cracow under the theme Recover (October 13-14 this year), an event organized by the Krakow branch of SARP in cooperation with universities — the Tadeusz Kościuszko Faculty of Architecture of the Krakow University of Technology, the Faculty of Architecture and Fine Arts of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow Academy, the Małopolska Regional Chamber of Architects of Poland, Architektura & Biznes and the National Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning. The MBA was hosted by the City of Cracow, and the event was held under the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal of the Malopolska Region.

A total of one thousand five hundred people registered for this two-day celebration of architecture (participation was possible in person and online). In the program, in addition to the four main panels, i.e. the Urban Round Table organized by Architektura & Biznes, the session Discovering Rivers moderated by Marcin Brataniec representing SARP Cracow Branch, the panel Resilient City in the Process of Transformation prepared by WA PK, and the session Architecture Social Artfor which the Department of Architecture and Fine Arts of KAAFM was responsible, there were many exhibitions, accompanying events such as walks, SARP-U40 workshops and even architectural speed dating!
