The Put Rocketlab science club from Poznan University of Technology has achieved another spectacular success. The HEXA 5 rocket, designed and built by the students, took first place in the international FAR-OUT competition in the Mojave Desert in California. Also behind the prestigious award is the Lena Lighting brand, which for the past two years has been providing the student organization with lighting that enables the highest level of comfort for studying and working.
Lena Lighting has continually proven that the phenomenon of light goes beyond standard definitions of functionality, becoming an integral part of both art and science. Indeed, the company is involved in many projects related to development in the broadest sense, such as... building space rockets.

For the past two years, the Polish brand has been supplying top-quality lighting to the Put Rocketlab science club from Poznan University of Technology, which recently won a prestigious award in the international FAR OUT competition. This allows student engineers to not only pursue their technological passions, but also to set completely new directions in the field of aeronautics in professional and comfortable conditions.

We are extremely proud to be part of such advanced scientific activities, which are appreciated all over the world. Winning first place in such significant competitions as FAR OUT is a testament to the perspicacity and visionary nature of our students, who early in their lives can realize themselves not only as designers, but also as forerunners of future technologies. We sincerely congratulate Put Rocketlab, which we will support in achieving further successes!
- says Tadeusz Talkowski IoT Manager at Lena Lighting.

Students from Put Rocketlab were the only representatives of Europe. The HEXA 5 rocket took off in the B flight category, with an altitude limitation of 20,000 - 50,000, reaching an altitude of 34551 feet (about 10.5 km), while setting a FAR record for the highest altitude for a fully recovered hybrid-powered rocket. In addition, the jury awarded PUT Rocketlab the prize for the most efficient hybrid rocket engine.
