25 of August '22

#Video Talks about the City

We present another video in our series of short statements by architects, urban planners, scientists and people connected with architecture and its related fields, "#Video Talks about the City." Each day we present video recordings from the panel organized by the Malopolska Regional Chamber of Architects of Poland as part of the International Architecture Biennale Krakow 2021, and right now we encourage you to send in more questions you would like us to ask the experts (you can send your questions to: kontakt@archibi.pl).

The guests invited by the Chamber address issues that can be divided into five topics: the principles of development of urban structures, the role of space in the formation of social attitudes, spatial planning tools, the revitalization of space, zones and educational facilities, and the preparation and professionalization of tasks.

Question:

Projections of the directions of urban development after Covid-19 - threats and opportunities (spillover and fragmentation of urban structures, globalization, social transformations, e-technologies, types of urban transportation, social activism, urban movements, the impact of ecology on urban construction and redevelopment).

Answer:

Hubert Trammer - architect, participant in the New European Bauhaus Round Table. Judge of architectural competitions. Nominating expert for the 2015, 2019 and 2022 editions of the Ludwig Mies van der Rohe European Union Architecture Prize. Co-laureate of architectural competitions in the team of Archigrest and Toposcape studios.
