Window with "English bottom" - system aluron as 75ow

03 of December '25

Aluron AS 75OW is an outward-opening aluminum window system designed completely differently from other such solutions available on the market. Instead of adapting an existing continental system, ALURON listened carefully to feedback from UK customers and designed the AS 75OW system exactly as a British systems designer would do. The result was a truly "English" system, not just an export product in British sizes.

AS 75OW corresponds to the real climatic conditions of the UK and countries with harsh weather, such as Norway, Iceland, Sweden and Finland. High wind resistance, waterproofing and air permeability have been confirmed by tests at the English Research Institute and the ITB. The latter were carried out due to the use of outward opening windows as smoke ventilation structures in Poland.

Why do the English prefer outward opening windows?

In Britain, this type of window is standard. The outward-opening sash saves space in small rooms. It does not interfere with curtains or furniture, and in strong winds the air pressure presses the sash against the frame, improving airtightness. AS 75OW is based on this logic. It is a deliberately British solution that is also compatible with insulated sill profiles, making it both practical and easy to install.

Performance for demanding builders

With a frame depth of 75 mm, the system provides high structural performance and supports a wide range of configurations, including tilt, turn and fixed windows. It allows glazing in the 16-66 mm range, achieves excellent levels of thermal insulation, and offers several variants to match a building's energy requirements.
Slender profiles, the possibility of painting in any RAL color and compatibility with other ALURON systems (common seals, fasteners, consistent aesthetics) facilitate the work of manufacturers and allow to maintain a uniform appearance of the entire project. The AS 75OW system is therefore an ideal choice for both residential and commercial projects.

AS 75OW demonstrates our continued commitment to the UK market. - James Cotton, commercial director of Aluron UK, said. - It not only meets local performance and safety standards, but also provides the aesthetic appearance, reliability and ease of production that our trade partners expect.

PVC groove sash - a detail that betrays the "English DNA"

AS 75OW window sashes are available in two design variants: the first with a groove for ALU hardware and the second with a groove for PVC hardware. The fact that the system has "English DNA" is especially evidenced by the second variant, which is the most popular way of opening windows in England. The sash profile is equipped with:

  • a separate place for mounting scissor hinges,
  • another, independent place for mounting envelope fittings.

Such a design allows you to use a handle with a short, functional and cheaper pin, and at the same time to make a true envelope fitting around the perimeter of the window. This is a typically British, practical approach. In a single-groove arrangement, where both the stays and the hardware are mounted, there is a conflict of elements. Full perimeter locking becomes impossible in practice. Aluron has consciously eliminated this problem.

AS 75OW is not only advanced technology, but also an elegant design that fits in with current architectural trends. Minimalist lines, slender profiles make the system blend in perfectly with both classic and modern buildings.
