MakroPro 2.0 Gates at the Silesia Ring Race Track

15 of September '26

On a racetrack, it’s not just about setting record lap times—it’s also about ensuring that the entire technical infrastructure runs smoothly. Garages and service pits must be designed to withstand heavy use and frequent operation under varying conditions. For this reason, WIŚNIOWSKI’s MakroPro industrial sectional doors were installed at the Silesia Ring racetrack in Kamień Śląski.

The Silesia Ring is one of the largest and most technologically advanced race tracks in Poland. The facility features a 3,636-meter-long track with 15 turns and a 730-meter straight. The track’s specifications allow for the organization of both professional tests and training sessions, as well as events for amateur drivers. The facility’s infrastructure is regularly used by automakers, organizers of automotive events, and driving schools.

The track hosts training sessions and test drives organized by renowned automotive brands, as well as Open Track events, during which participants can test the capabilities of their cars under controlled conditions. The facility’s calendar also includes new model presentations, industry meetings, charity events, and Formula Drive, which allows participants to drive single-seater race cars on a professional race track.

A facility used so intensively requires reliable technical infrastructure. The garages and service areas are equipped with MakroPro 2.0 industrial doors, designed for facilities where numerous opening and closing cycles take place every day. The structure is based on durable 40-mm-thick steel panels filled with polyurethane foam, which provides good thermal insulation and resistance to mechanical damage. The doors are also equipped with a wicket door, which allows staff to move quickly without having to open the entire door. This solution is particularly useful in garages and service bays, where efficient communication between technical zones is often necessary. Reducing the number of times the door is fully opened also improves working comfort and streamlines the facility’s daily operations. The guide system is designed for heavy-duty use, and the structural solutions employed ensure smooth and safe operation even under high traffic volumes.

Another key advantage of MakroPro 2.0 doors is the ability to customize their parameters to the specific needs of the facility. A wide selection of dimensions, guide types, control methods, and optional accessories allows the solution to be tailored to the requirements of specific technical zones. Large glazed sections increase the amount of natural light entering the interior, and the safety features ensure safe operation during daily use. As a result, these doors not only serve a functional purpose but also constitute an integral part of the infrastructure of industrial and technical facilities.

The project at Silesia Ring demonstrates that solutions originally designed for industry and logistics are also applicable in modern motorsports facilities. In places where efficient work organization, equipment durability, and reliable infrastructure operation are crucial, properly selected gates become a vital part of the facility’s day-to-day operations.
