Behind SCANDILOVE is Lukasz Pastuszka, an architect from the Lodz-based design group Moomoo Architects. In 2009, Moomoo Architects was recognized by Wallpaper magazine as one of the world's 30 best emerging architectural studios, and in 2010 it was named one of the best Polish designers by YOUNG CREATIVE POLAND.

SCANDILOVE is a design activity that uses the principles of home staging. In this case, the architect searches for apartments in Lodz's atmospheric tenements, redesigns them and arranges them in the spirit of Scandinavian design. The apartments, through the materials used and natural colors, gain light, space and unpretentious simplicity.Sometimes they are even unrecognizable.

"The apartment for rent in Lodz on Więckowskiego Street has been thoroughly redesigned - now it is an open, sunny space. The apartment is located in the very center of Lodz. On one side we have a view of a string of tenement houses, the Museum of Art, on the other a view of the park and the Academy of Music. Traditionally for SCANDILOVE, this is a tenement apartment in which we did everything from scratch.
We left the original ceiling and floors, added a new floor in the lobby, in a tenement atmosphere. We restored the doors, added boarded up glazing. We demolished what we could and inserted a glass wall. The apartment has a very comfortable layout divided into living and sleeping areas. Traditionally, we got the tables from Un'common, the kitchen from PRIAM, the painting from OUAA.DK, the graphics from Liquid Memories."
