We invite you to participate in the competition for the best master's theses and design diplomas defended in 2017/18 and 2018/19. organized by the National Institute of Architecture and Urbanism.
The purpose of the competition is not only to promote the most interesting diplomas, but also to motivate male and female students to take up topics related to common spaces or public buildings.
Awards are given in two categories: design and theoretical.
design category
This category evaluates works in the fields of architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, urban planning, spatial management, design, graphic design, historic preservation and related fields. Projects should concern common spaces: squares, streets, green and recreational spaces or sports facilities. We also encourage the submission of projects for public buildings: schools, hospitals, offices, cultural facilities.

theoretical category
This category will evaluate works that describe phenomena occurring in public space and concern public buildings, typology, history, socio-economic changes or demography. We encourage submissions from the fields of art history, architectural history, architectural theory, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, economics, cultural studies, protection of cultural property, environmental protection, law, management or other fields, if the works relate to the functioning of buildings and the shaping and shaping of common spaces.

- Deadline for the submission of works: until 22.11.2019 at 16.00 (works with the necessary documents should be sent by mail or delivered in person to the headquarters of NIAiU 4 Foksal Street, 00-366 Warsaw) - the date of delivery of the work is decisive
- Presentation of awards: 17.12.2019 at the SARP pavilion in Warsaw

- First prize in the theoretical category - PLN 10,000
- honorable mentions (two in each category) - PLN 5,000
