What is heterogeneous flooring?
Heterogeneous carpetsare called carpets with a multi-layer structure (min. 3). The outer layer is a wear layer made of a very strong and resistant polymer, most often pure polyvinyl chloride (PVC/PVC). Underneath the protective top layer is the decorative layer, that is, the distinctive drawing of the carpet - pattern, color, and even 3D textures imitating spatial effects. The lowest layer is the base layer aimed at precise and comfortable laying of the carpet or additional acoustic insulation. This layer is usually made of polymer in homogeneous form (industrial PVC) or in foam form (polyurethane).
The modifications made, for example, in the type of materials used or the number of layers, affect the physical characteristics of the resulting products, such as their elasticity, resilience, resistance to mechanical and chemical damage, stretching, UV radiation.
