Another record-breaking May is behind us. For the third time, the Polish construction industry has come together around a common goal: to provide real, long-term assistance to those in need.
“Helping Builds,” an initiative of the Piotr Maj Family Foundation, has become a permanent fixture on the Polish construction industry’s calendar. Just as a well-planned investment brings together expertise, people, and responsibility, this project brings together entrepreneurs, athletes, leaders, and social partners every year, transforming relationships into concrete actions.

where relationships turn into concrete action
This year’s edition once again proved that the industry’s strength lies not only in financial results, technologies, and completed projects. Its true foundation is people, mutual trust, and a willingness to act for the benefit of others.
The Helping Builds 2026 project is based on three pillars: business, sports, and philanthropy. Three events took place as part of the initiative: the May Night of Winners, the 3rd Polish Construction Industry Road Cycling Championships, and the “Town of Relationships”—a space for meetings, exchanging experiences, and forging valuable business partnerships.
Each of these events had a different character, but they all led to a single goal: building a community where the word “responsibility” has a real impact.
The first chapter of this year’s edition was the May Night of Winners. On May 16, 360 entrepreneurs, market leaders, philanthropists, and representatives of the construction and technology industries gathered at the Narvil Hotel near Warsaw. The evening brought together art, responsible business, and philanthropy. During the auction, participants bid on unique items and experiences not available for regular sale.

However, the greatest value of the event lay not in the auctions themselves. The gala became a gathering place for people who believe that business success can and should serve to build lasting social change.
3rd Polish Construction Industry Road Cycling Championships
A dozen or so days later, the excitement shifted to the course of the 3rd Polish Construction Industry Road Cycling Championships. A total of 173 riders lined up at the start.

From the very first kilometers, it was clear that this would be one of the most demanding races in the history of the event. A fast pace, bold attacks, and a race against the clock right down to the final meters provided both riders and fans with genuine sporting excitement. Krzysztof Kuczyński won the men’s category, while Katarzyna Konstanty was the fastest among the women. In the team classification, three teams tied for first place: BUDIMEX, STRABAG, and ERBUD.

Although there was no shortage of competition on the course, all participants rode in the same direction, toward a common goal. Every kilometer covered mattered and was part of a larger story of helping others.
Relationship Village — Business That Builds Value
At the same time, the “Town of Relationships” was in full swing at the headquarters of SMAY, the event’s main sponsor. A total of 333 people participated in the meetings, taking advantage of the business matching system, networking sessions, and zones set up by the initiative’s partners.
The program focused on leadership, entrepreneur development, communication, and building relationships that can lead to new projects, partnerships, and joint social initiatives.
Speakers included Tomasz Paszyna, Natalia Rybarczyk, Wiktor Tokarski, and Monika Butryń, among others. These experts shared their experiences related to effective management, leadership development, and building responsible organizations.
The “Town of Relationships” demonstrated that networking doesn’t have to end with exchanging business cards. It can be the beginning of a collaboration that brings business, social, and human value.

The most important aspect of the “Helping Builds 2026” initiative remains unchanged
Behind the sporting excitement, business meetings, and charity gala are real people, their stories, and their needs. This year’s fundraisers and auctions yielded record results. A total of 3,029,500 PLN was raised, which is more than in the previous edition.
This is also the highest result in the project’s history and the best proof that collaboration across the entire community can lead to real, measurable change.
The funds raised will be allocated to the long-term initiatives of the Piotr Maj Family Foundation and its beneficiaries, and above all to:
1. A barrier-free home — the construction of a safe home adapted to the needs of Kubuś Serwin;
2. The SENS Project —expanding the psychological support program to include more children and families, carried out in collaboration with the Mother and Child Institute in Warsaw;
3. ODDECH 2.0 is a continuation of long-term assistance for children and families receiving psychological support in Ołdrzychowice.
This assistance is not a one-time gesture. It is a consistently pursued process aimed at permanently improving the quality of life for the Foundation’s beneficiaries.
The race continues—anyone can join the Peloton of Good
Although the main events of this year’s edition have come to an end, “Helping Builds” continues. The “Kilometers That Build” campaign runs through June 30, during which every kilometer cycled can be converted into tangible support for the beneficiaries of the Piotr Maj Family Foundation. Anyone can join the Peloton of Good, regardless of their athletic level, the distance they cover, or where they hop on their bike. What matters most is working together and the belief that even a small effort, multiplied by the commitment of hundreds of people, can bring about great change.

Helping Gains Momentum
The third edition of “Helping Builds” also revealed something that cannot be fully captured by numbers alone. A community has formed around the initiative—people who want to succeed not only in business and sports, but also in supporting initiatives that bring industries together. This community, which grows year after year, inspires and attracts new entrepreneurs, partners, athletes, and leaders.
“Helping Builds” will return in 2027
Preparations for the fourth edition are already underway, and the organizers are announcing an even greater mobilization of the industry and further steps that will result in concrete action.
Because when business, sports, and social responsibility ride together in a single peloton, victory doesn’t belong to just one person. Everyone who has decided to help wins.
