Technology squared - new SCHELL electronic faucets

01 of June '25

The new generation of SCHELL E² electronic basin faucets sets forward-looking trends in the areas of precision operation, functionality and smart technology. Solutions with a Bluetooth® module offer intuitive parameterization and monitoring via a smartphone app, while innovative ToF technology prevents accidental actuation.

SCHELL's well-known XERIS, CELIS and PURIS electronic faucet families have been enriched with the new-generation E² models equipped with Bluetooth® technology, which enables instant configuration and real-time data logging. The all-new ToF (Time of Flight) sensors, meanwhile, are a step toward even greater cost savings. The XERIS E², CELIS E² and PURIS batteries respond exceptionally accurately to motion, so that accidental activation caused by, for example, reflections from mirrors or reflective vests is no longer possible. However, E² technology hides many more advantages - for users, administrators or installers alike.

Durable design and thoughtful features

The new faucets with E² technology combine a timeless look with a carefully thought-out, all-metal resistant design and modern options. The easy-to-clean surface and specially integrated aerator guarantee maximum durability and hygiene. Thanks to the high protection class of the housing IP67, effective protection of the sensor module against dust and water is ensured. As an additional improvement, there is an LED that indicates a low battery level or the activation of a cleaning stop. In addition, all HD-M faucets in the new E² series are equipped with a mixer with an individually adjustable hot water stop, while the XERIS E²-T model is equipped with a ThermoProtect thermostat that provides reliable, highly precise protection against scalding by setting the maximum water temperature. A unique feature of this state-of-the-art system is the immediate shut-off of the water supply in the event of a cold water shortage.

Quick and easy commissioning with a smartphone

The faucet ' s built-in Bluetooth® module creates a direct connection between its electronics and the app. This makes it possible to save settings in the faucet's profile and then copy them to another fixture or, using the group manager, to multiple fixtures. This helps avoid errors and saves valuable time in large installations. The application offers three predefined modes of operation. In the "Save Water" option, the flow is stopped in a shorter period of time when hands are removed from the range of the sensor. The "Save Electricity" mode extends the life of the faucet, while the "Comfort" function speeds up the mechanism's response and prolongs the flow of water. There is also an "Expert Mode", which allows the configuration of individual options, depending on local conditions and customer needs. A completely new option is also demand-driven flushing, which perfectly combines the requirements of hygiene and water saving. The faucets flush the system depending on the current water consumption and only when circulation needs to be guaranteed. The clear visualization available in the app allows you to quickly check the status of the faucets and prompts the required actions. With just a few taps in the app, you can set an anti-stagnation flushing schedule and take care of the quality of your drinking water, check the charge level, the status of your faucet or view reports.
