Familiar series, new format! We invite you to a LIVE meeting #NEW TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE. This time we will broadcast straight from the recording studio, and the guest of the meeting hosted by Jakub Glaz will be Professor Romuald Loegler. You are welcome!

Initiated last year, the series of online meetings #NEW TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE is an opportunity to meet with the best artists, researchers and designers, with whom we discuss contemporary challenges, dynamic changes, shifts in meanings and priorities. Let's discuss how design can respond to all this, how to implement change and what it brings.

Together, through open and interdisciplinary conversations, we look for sustainable solutions and ideas, create the title new trends. We invite you to be a part of them!

On March 28 , 2023 at 1 pm , Romuald Loegler and Jakub Glaz - architect and critic- will meet in the recording studio in Krakow. The conversation will be broadcast live on A&B's YouTube channel and Facebook page. There will be an opportunity to ask questions during the meeting.

Romuald LoeglerProfessor Romuald Loegler - a prominent architect, winner of the Honorary Award of SARP (1994), a respected lecturer, has been running his own studio Atelier Loegler Architekci in Krakow since 1987. For years, he has not only designed and shaped urban space, but has also been active in the field of architectural debate - he was, among other things, co-founder of the Architecture Biennale in Krakow, as well as publisher of the monthly magazine "Architektura & Biznes".

His architectural portfolio includes numerous award-winning projects, including the Krakow Opera House, the Lodz Philharmonic building, the expansion of the Cracow University of Economics, the new wing of the Jagiellonian Library and the Mies van der Rohe Award-nominated Gateway to the City of the Dead - the funeral home at the Batowicki Cemetery in Cracow.

Jakub GłazJakub Głaz - architecture critic, publicist, animator of spatial activities, editor of the architekturaibiznes.pl portal and regular columnist of the Architektura & Biznes monthly. Graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Poznan University of Technology, who directed his professional path towards the popularization of architecture and activities to repair cities.

He is a two-time winner of the Journalist Award of the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, author and curator of many architectural exhibitions, co-founder of the "Open Center" initiative and the Modernist Architecture Festival "New Plan", co-author of the book for children and adults "Common does not mean nobody's" and two series of the TV series "Book of Space". In the film series "Domokrążcy" he shows unique stories of Polish houses and apartments.


#NEW TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE 2022

The guest of the first meeting of the #NOWE TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE series hosted by Jakub Szczęsny was landscape architect Joanna Rayss.


In May, Jakub Szczęsny was joined by urban planner Kuba Snopek.


And the guest of the September episode was Maciej Franta.
