Architecture weekend in Gdynia time to start!

27 of August '20

The 10th edition of the Architecture Weekend in Gdynia begins today. The event, which has been organized for many years, is open to all those interested in contemporary architecture and urban development issues. The narrative axis of this year's jubilee edition of the festival is the slogan "anticipation", including an indication of the role, the need to anticipate and adapt more and more quickly to social expectations. As the event's organizers note, there is a clear need for deep discussions about how architects and urban planners are going to respond to the global challenges ahead.

Among the most pressing issues, the Architecture Weekend organizers cite the continuing shortage of housing in urban centers, resulting in social and cultural exclusion, environmental issues, and the need to design "with a vision" that will take into account, among other things, the increasingly real threats posed by global warming.
