swissporTON is expanding its line of ceramic roof tiles with the GENEVO model—a compact, flat roof tile designed for modern single-family homes. This new product responds to growing interest among homeowners in minimalist design, precise geometry, and installation flexibility on roofs with complex shapes.

A compact format for compact architectural structures

The GENEVO roof tile measures approximately 285 x 470 mm, making it one of the smaller models in the swissporTON lineup. Its flat profile, devoid of distinct relief and deep embossing, creates a uniform, smooth surface on the roof with a decidedly minimalist character. This design offers an excellent alternative to traditional flat roof tiles such as SIMPLA or KAPSTADT and complements the simple, geometric forms that dominate contemporary single-family home construction.

The compact format also offers practical installation benefits: a smaller individual tile better adapts to the shape of roofs with unusual geometries, reduces the need to cut tiles at eaves, ridges, or corners, and minimizes installation waste. This results in a shorter installation time and a cleaner, more precise edge line across the entire roof surface. The product can be used on roofs with a pitch as low as 10°, giving designers broad freedom to shape modern structures.

Wide range of batten spacing adjustment

An important technical feature of GENEVO is its adjustment tolerance range—the spacing between battens can be adjusted from 315 to 410 mm. This range of nearly 100 mm makes it easier for installers to flexibly adjust the roof tiles. This facilitates adapting the roofing to a specific roof structure, especially for multi-sloped and unconventional roof shapes. When the batten spacing is less than 380 mm, the side tiles must be cut at the factory-marked point, which helps maintain a straight roof edge line. A labyrinth-style interlocking system ensures the roof’s watertightness, designed to protect against strong winds and heavy rainfall.

Modern production – exceptional quality

GENEVO is manufactured through a fully automated process—from molding, through drying, to firing and packaging. This technology, known as contactless production, eliminates the stages where the tile would be handled or laid by hand—a process that, in traditional manufacturing, can lead to minor edge damage and dimensional deviations. Thanks to full automation at the modern swisspor factory in Lenti, Hungary, each tile undergoes identical molding and firing processes, resulting in consistent geometry and stable dimensions across the entire production batch. For contractors, this means fewer on-site adjustments and a more predictable installation process, while for investors, it ensures a smooth, aesthetically pleasing roof surface.

Four finish options for every roof

The roof tile is available in four color variants: natural red, copper engobe, dark gray matte engobe, and slate-colored engobe. Natural red is a proven, classic solution that blends well with traditional architecture and surroundings. Copper engobe introduces a warmer, satin-like shade that works well in both modern and more subdued designs. In turn, the dark gray matte engobe and slate-colored engobe respond to the growing demand for raw, minimalist finishes, which have dominated single-family home architecture in recent years. This carefully curated palette allows the roof to complement both classic and decidedly modern architectural forms without the need to choose a different tile model.

Accessory system and up to a 50-year warranty

The GENEVO model enters the market with a full range of dedicated roofing accessories, including ventilation and finishing elements, as well as components for detailing roof surfaces, such as ridges, edges, and utility penetrations. This systematic approach ensures a consistent aesthetic for the entire roof and reduces the need to combine elements from different manufacturers, which can sometimes lead to waterproofing issues. Like other swissporTON ceramic roof tiles, GENEVO is covered by a warranty of up to 50 years, in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of the manufacturer, swisspor Polska—one of the longest warranties currently available on the market for ceramic roof tiles. The long warranty period is intended to confirm the material’s durability and the stability of its technical parameters over decades of use.
