Agnieszka Labus in the series Awakenings - morning talks about architecture

Tomorrow, on August 6, there will be a conversation with architect and urban planner Agnieszka Labus in the series Awakenings carried out as part of the interdisciplinary Street Cloud project presenting innovations and trends in urban cultural sectors related to science, art, architecture, urban planning and design.

The wake-up calls are conversations about the beginnings of their careers, their time at university and their childhood with well-known people from the creative industry. They take place as part of the Street Cloud project, a microtelevision dedicated to urban culture, organized by the anti-RAMA collective.

Dr. Eng. arch. will talk about why being a scientist-architect is not popular in Poland, how to understand the needs of seniors while being a young person, and why the latest trends are reaching us so late. Agnieszka Labus from the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology as part of the series Awakenings. And of course... about the beginnings of her career, her childhood, her time as a student and her career - as always.

Agnieszka Labus - an architect and urban planner with a specialization in urban renewal in the context of aging. She is an assistant research professor in the Department of Urban and Spatial Planning at the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. Since 2019, he has also served as Deputy Director for Research and Implementation Projects at the International Center for Interdisciplinary Research at the Silesian University of Technology.

From 2017 to 2019, she served as Director of the Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer at the Silesian University of Technology. She is the initiator and President of the Board of Directors of the Laboratory of Architecture 60+ (LAB 60+) Foundation, the first laboratory in Poland dedicated to innovative approaches to design in view of the needs of an aging society.
