Culture centers
Culture centers are commonly associated first and foremost with edifices of museums, theaters, philharmonics, community centers and the like. Meanwhile, culture is also eager to adapt to spaces with originally other purposes. We are talking - for example - about the a cultural center in an old railroad car, designed by the Al Borde studio, or Center for Literature and Language "Planet Lem" (for now in design phase) by the JEMS Architects team. Unconventional form, unusual location or experimental space - these are factors that positively affect the attractiveness of cultural centers, conducive to attracting more users, including teenagers and the youngest, for whom contact with culture is particularly important in the course of their development and socialization.
Rocznik 1977, krytyk architektury, publicysta, animator działań przestrzennych. Z wykształcenia architekt (Politechnika Poznańska, 2002). Zajmuje się popularyzacją i krytyką architektury w prasie popularnej i specjalistycznej, radiu oraz telewizji, a także działaniami na rzecz naprawy miast, prowadzeniem wykładów popularyzatorskich, moderowaniem specjalistycznych dyskusji oraz spacerów architektonicznych. Współtwórca poznańskiej inicjatywy „Centrum Otwarte” zajmującej się edukacją i animacją działań w zakresie architektury i urbanistyki oraz Festiwalu Architektury Modernistycznej „Nowy Plan”. Współautor książki dla dzieci i dorosłych „Wspólne nie znaczy niczyje” oraz telewizyjnego cyklu „Księga Przestrzeni” (dwie serie). Autor i kurator wystaw architektonicznych. Dwukrotny laureat nagrody dziennikarskiej Izby Architektów RP.
