For such important fields as architecture and urban planning, cooperation between local governments and professional self-government organizations is a key issue. Discussions about what is still to be done in this field will take place during the Inter-District Conference entitled Professional and Territorial Self-Government - Fields of Cooperation, co-organized by the Podkarpackie, Świętokrzyskie and Lublin District Chambers of Architects of the Republic of Poland. The event, which will take place on April 10 and 11 this year in Lublin, is divided into four thematic sections. The first day will feature two panels - an introductory one and one devoted to legislative practice in the investment process. During the first, Marcin Kaminski, chairman of the Świętokrzyskie District Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, will outline the issues, followed by a discussion of the title fields of cooperation between professional and territorial self-governments. After the break, there will be presentations within the second panel, and after that - a concluding discussion.

On the second day, two panels were also scheduled, devoted to decisions and pitfalls related to building permit decisions and new planning tools. The presentations, conducted in a TEDx format, will cover topics such as the professional responsibility of architects, problems of architectural and construction authorities related to the issuance of building permits, or General Plans and ZPIs.

Given the number of complexities that arise at the intersection of architecture and legislative processes, the topic of the conference is extremely important:
We hope that this, widely presented exchange of experience and information, will significantly contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between the local government and the professional self-government of the Chamber of Architects, effectively starting the construction of a new quality of work, bringing a lot of valuable information and supporting the pursuit of a uniform interpretation of both the principles of cooperation between local governments, as well as compliance with the provisions of the applicable law.
