Join us for two EXCLUSIVE LECTURES by Przem Łukasik from Medusa Group! In October, we’ll be visiting the Krakow University of Technology and the Silesian University of Technology! During these meetings with students, the architect will discuss his most significant projects, the experiences he has gained in an international design environment, and the moments that have shaped his professional journey.
How to forge your own path in architecture?
The lectures in the “Path to a Career”series were created for architecture students preparing to enter the professional world. This format goes beyond standard academic classes and is based on direct meetings with architects.
Through conversations with experienced architects, young architecture students can gain insight into the inner workings of design work, learn more about making professional decisions and tackling the industry’s challenges, and compare their own ideas about the profession with the experiences of practitioners. The goal of the series is to raise awareness that future designers have a real impact on the quality of the space around us, and that responsibility for it begins as early as the educational stage.

This time, the series’ guest will be Przemo Łukasik!The events will take place in Kraków and Gliwice! This is an opportunity to learn about the experiences of an architect whose practice spans both Polish and international design contexts.

Przemo Łukasik
Przemo Łukasik is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He also studied at the École d’Architecture Paris-Villemin in Paris, where he gained experience in an international architectural environment. He worked in the studios of Jean Nouvel and Odile Decq, and also taught lectures and classes at the École Spéciale d’Architecture.
In 1997, together with Łukasz Zagała ,he founded the Medusa Grouparchitectural firm , which currently has offices in Bytom, Warsaw, and Dubai. The team has won the Grand Prix three times in the Silesian Voivodeship Architecture of the Year competition for the Wasko and Infinite Dreams office buildings in Gliwice and the Kanlux TechPark. The firm’s accolades also include nominations for the Mies van der Rohe European Architecture Award.
Medusa Group also received the Architectural Award from the Mayor of Warsaw for the Akademeia High School public building and the SARP 2022 Award of the Year in the category of Office, Educational, or Administrative Buildings for the .KTW in Katowice. In 2024, the firm was honored with the SARP Honorary Award.
