Architecture & Business invites you to the next stationary AUTHOR'S LECTURES by Robert Konieczny from KWK Promes! This time in December we will visit Krakow University of Technology and Silesian University of Technology! During the meetings with students, the architect will talk about his key projects, career breakthroughs, as well as challenges that, from today's perspective, proved fundamental to his professional development.
"The path to the profession". - inspiration and practice
The lectures in the "Road to the Profession" series were created to support architecture students in their conscious entry into professional life. This is a format that goes beyond standard academic classes - based on direct meetings with architects active in design practice.
Through conversation with experienced creators, young architecture students receive not only inspiration, but also specific guidance on design work, decision-making, building professional responsibility and dealing with the real challenges of a designer. The aim of the series is to build awareness that future designers and designers have a real impact on the quality of the space around us, and that responsibility for it begins at the stage of education.

Robert Konieczny
The guest speaker will be Robert Konieczny - one of the most respected contemporary Polish architects, founder of the KWK Promes studio (1999) and graduate of the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. He is an award-winning artist, regularly nominated for the European Mies van der Rohe Award, and the recipient of numerous national and international honors. He was certified by the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1996, became a foreign member of the French Academy of Architecture in 2017, and has also been an honorary member of the Association of Architects of the Czech Republic since 2022.
His studio's projects have been featured in major global publications, including The Phaidon Atlas of Contemporary World Architecture and books published by Taschen. In Hans Ibelings' well-known monograph European Architecture since 1890, KWK Promes was indicated as the only contemporary Polish studio that has made a noticeable contribution to the development of European architecture.
Robert Konieczny is also one of the most frequently published Polish architects abroad, and his realizations have been generating international interest and recognition for years.
