The call for entries for the next edition of the international design competition for young designers at the Łódź Design Festival has been extended. The competition is a key element of the Lodz festival. It is addressed to artists and designers who have recognized a problem and decided to solve it by proposing a finished product. Therefore, as the organizers encourage: stay at home and design our future!
The international design competition make me! is one of the most innovative design events in Europe and a key element of the Łódź Design Festival. The most important goal of make me! is to forecast upcoming trends, bold ideas, and support young designers who are ready to take off. The finalists of past editions emphasize the opportunities that have opened up for them through their presence in the competition, including: becoming known in the design community, promotion through numerous publications or subsequent exhibitions.
The competition, held since 2008, is addressed not only to designers, but also to adepts of art and design faculties. Dedicated to all those who are ignited to the design process by an impulse triggered by noticing a need or a problem. Also rewarded in make me! are projects that experiment with materials or seek new interpretations of existing functions. Submitted works are evaluated in two stages by a specially selected jury, diverse in their interests, and with the exhibition presentation of projects open to the public and contact with experts, make me! can be a springboard for further professional development.
The deadline for entries to the make me! competition has been extended until June 30, 2020, 11:59 pm.
