Spa, massages and pools, all surrounded by dense pine forests? That's the idyllic vision of a thermal spa proposed by Julia Zapart of Politechnika Łódzka. Her project isn't just a hotel with a therapeutic function - it's also a nod to the spa tradition and the Swindler style.
The spa is located near the Mazovian Landscape Park and the Otwock Peat Nature Reserve. The town has a rich spa history and a picturesque pine landscape.

The main idea was to create a facility that combines recreational, health and hotel functions, taking advantage of the potential of the local geothermal waters and the tradition of architecture in the "Świdermajer" style. spa architecture alive again
The choice of the site's location was not accidental - the environment of nature is significantly conducive to relaxation and wellness. In addition, the local zoning plan allows the function of spa treatment at this location.

The composition of the building is reminiscent of verandas and the Świdermajer style, characteristic of the region. The wood and stone that make up the facade, large glazing and leaving the forest character of the plot make the spa blend into the natural landscape.

The Świdermajer style, popular in the region in the 19th and 20th centuries, is also referred to in the detailing used in the project. Characteristic are the gables, often richly decorated with openwork elements cut in wood to resemble flowers, leaves or geometric shapes.

Also, the joints of the beams refer to Swidermajers.
Notches were made in the beams to fit them together and to properly set one element into the other. The joints were further reinforced with carpentry screws. This type of assembly was used to avoid metal fasteners visible from the outside.

health among the trees
The spa offers a comprehensive spa area with a thermal pool, saunas, a brine graduation tower, as well as massage and yoga rooms. Key to the spa's therapeutic activities is the use of the properties of geothermal waters, sizable deposits of which are located in Otwock. Inhalation rooms, thermal pools and therapeutic baths with thermal water show anti-inflammatory, purifying and relaxing effects, in addition to having beneficial effects on the skin.

The second wing of the facility forms the hotel part with rooms, a restaurant and recreational space. In it you can stay overnight in double, triple or quadruple rooms. Each room has access to a terrace and a private bathroom. The interiors are dominated by natural materials and minimalism, and large windows not only allow more natural light to enter, but also feel a better connection to the greenery outside.
