Wloclawek City Hall has announced a competition to develop an urban and architectural concept for the reconstruction of 3 Maja Street, which is planned under the Municipal Revitalization Program of the City of Wloclawek.
The purpose of the competition is to obtain the best urban planning and architectural concept for 3 Maja Street, which will include the reconstruction of the street and the design of a woonerf. The proposal should be developed in accordance with the principles of universal design with particular attention to accessibility for the disabled.
Thechange of the image of 3 Maja Street, which is an important element of the urban and communication axis of the city, connecting Freedom Square with the Old Market Square, will be carried out within the framework of the Municipal Revitalization Program of the City of Wloclawek for 2018-2028 and is expected to contribute to increasing the quality of public space, strengthening the role of the city center and increasing the economic attractiveness of the area and its perception.
Competition entries will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- accuracy of functional program-spatial solutions with particular attention to accessibility for all users,
- consideration of the needs of residents,
- comfort and attractiveness of use,
- application of pro-ecological smart city solutions,
- cost of implementation.

The competition provides for the awarding of three prizes with a total amount of PLN 20,000. The organizer will invite the author of the highest-rated work to negotiate a sole-source contract for the creation of design documentation, which is a detailed elaboration of the competition work.
