We have completed the online voting for the Audience Award in the competition for the extension and reconstruction of a tenement house in Tarnow. The competition was organized by the Public Architecture Team A-2 of the Faculty of Architecture of PKand the City Hall of Tarnow.49 projects took part in the plebiscite and made it to the final round of the competition. The highest number of votes (489) was received by the work "tarNOVA", by Aleksandra Paradysz.Congratulations to the winner!

The competition was addressed to male and female students of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology. The jury, chaired by Dr. Wieslaw Michalek (WA PK) and composed of: Jacek Adamczyk (Director of the Center for Dialogue - Idea Tarnów), Dr. Bartosz Dendura (WA PK), Barbara Knapik (Chairwoman of the Municipal Urban Planning and Architectural Commission), Michał Sitek (Director of the Department of Architecture and Spatial Planning), Paulina Hebda (Acting Head of the Provincial Office for the Protection of Historical Monuments in Krakow, Delegation in Tarnów), and Michał Rączka evaluated the competition works, the aim of which was to develop a concept for the extension and reconstruction of the tenement house at Rynek 6 in Tarnów.

The task of the participants was to create a modern urban space, integrating public utility functions and innovative architectural solutions. The projects were created within the framework of classes organized by the Public Architecture Team A-2 WA PK, and their creative process began with a site visit in October 2024. At that time, male and female students had the opportunity to meet with the mayor of Tarnów, Jakub Kwaśny, who introduced them to the historical and urban context of the location.

In March 2025, Architecture & Business gave a vote to its male and female readers, announcing a contest for the Audience Award. Male and female Internet users were able to vote for their favorite graduation project, from among the 49 works admitted to the finals.

The winner was Aleksandra Paradysz

for her project "tarNOVA. " The work won 489 votes, and the author will receive a diploma and a one-year subscription to the monthly magazine "A&B".

Second place - Piotr Litwinski

for the work "Market 6 in Tarnow." The project received 301 votes.

The author and the author of the works that won second and third place will receive from us a diploma and a six-month subscription to the monthly magazine "A&B".
