Industrial design competition. Arting 2020 project

You still have until May 30 to submit your projects for the Arting 2020 competition. This year's theme is "Heritage. " The organizers are looking forward to ideas that improve the functioning of people and their environment in accordance with the principles of sustainability and energy conservation.

The purpose of the Arting competition organized by the People-Innovation-Design Foundation is to build awareness of the role of industrial design in sustainable development, through the creation of innovative design projects, and to spread the concept of energy as a common good and the principles of its management.

design competition - for whom?

The competition is open to students and graduates of industrial design faculties, architecture, technical universities, design designers, architects, engineers and design teams. The competition is open to projects that are in the concept stage, implementation, as well as already completed projects, and the number of works submitted by a single participant or group is unlimited.

sustainable development

Design projects can be submitted in three categories:

  • technology - objects and processes in line with sustainable development.
  • environment -environmental protection and raising environmental awareness.
  • heritage - projects inspired by the cultural and natural heritage of the Polish-Slovak borderland Euroregion Beskidy.

Submitted works will participate in a post-competition exhibition. The prize pool in the competition is thirty thousand zlotys. The organizers have provided for a grand prize, a prize for the winner of each category and honorable mentions.

Arting project

The Ar ting project is not only a competition but also an educational event to promote people and knowledge. The project includes a series of exhibitions and seminars in Bielsko-Biala, Ostrava, Krakow and Katowice, among others. Online exhibition, publications, film. The competition has an international formula and is part of the Polish-Czech educational action in the Euroregion Beskidy financed through the Interreg Poland-Slovakia 2014-2020 program. The patrons of the competition are the Mayor of Bielsko-Biala and the Bielsko-Biala City Hall. The competition's partners are colleges educating industrial design designers.
