w skrócie
  1. Triform is an original project by Pawel Konopczynski of the Architecture Department of Poznan University of Technology, carried out under the supervision of Magdalena Gyurkovich, PhD.
  2. The project involves the creation of a modular furniture system that allows the user to independently build functional forms tailored to their own needs and space.
  3. The structure is based on two types of plywood joined by corner puzzle-type elements made of recycled plastic, which ensures durability, stability and ease of assembly.
  4. Thanks to triangular modules and a system of holes, the structure allows you to freely create a variety of compositions such as shelves, bookcases, tables or seats, adapting to the changing functions of the interior.
  5. Triform is a combination of modern design, ecological approach and practicality, which fits the current market needs and expectations of users who value mobility, aesthetics and flexibility of solutions.

In a world where the variability of lifestyles and the need for flexibility of arrangement are becoming an everyday reality, solutions that combine functionality, mobility and environmental awareness are gaining in value. One such innovative project is Triform, a modular piece of furniture for self-assembly, designed by Pawel Konopczynski of the Faculty of Architecture at Poznan University of Technology, under the supervision of Magdalena Gyurkovich, PhD. Triform is a set of elements that gives users almost unlimited freedom to create their own furniture, tailored to individual needs and preferences. The project was created in response to the growing demand for solutions that fit the spirit of contemporary spaces - both residential and commercial - where flexibility, multi-tasking and aesthetics play an important role.

from concept to implementation

The origins of the project go back to the analysis of everyday utilitarian objects. Among the original ideas were a portable ball lamp with a built-in power source or a multifunctional holder for hanging things. Eventually, however, Pawel Konopczynski decided to develop a furniture system that would allow the user to creatively intervene in the appearance and function of the product. The key design consideration was to reduce the number of elements to an absolute minimum, while maintaining full functionality and ease of assembly.

Triform is based on two types of plywood, differing in dimensions, which are connected by special corner puzzle-type joints. The elements are made of recycled plastic, which is resistant to deformation and ensures durability while keeping the weight low. Each plywood piece has two milled edges, perfectly matching the joints, which guarantees the stability of the entire structure.

On the other sides, there are holes for adding pins and inserts, which greatly increases the possibilities of expansion. As a result, users can easily create three-dimensional, spatial compositions that perform a variety of functions - from shelves and bookcases, to tables and seats.

modularity without boundaries

The central element of the system is a rectangular triangle-shaped module. Thanks to its geometry and well-thought-out system of connections, the possibilities for expansion are almost limitless. Each user can create a unique piece of furniture, tailored to his own needs and the character of the interior. This level of personalization and modularity makes Triform not only versatile, but also extremely practical - the furniture can "grow" with the user, changing with his needs.

One of the most important advantages of the Triform design is its mobility. Thanks to its lightweight but sturdy construction, the furniture can be easily rearranged and reconfigured - without the need for tools or specialized knowledge. What's more, the use of recycled materials and a reduction in the number of components is in line with the tenets of sustainable design, which promotes a conscious and responsible approach to design.

The Triform design combines modern aesthetics with functionality and care for the environment. It's a great option for people who are looking for furniture that is not only beautiful, but above all flexible and durable - one that will evolve with their lifestyle. It's also an example of how young designers like Pawel Konopczynski can respond to the challenges of the modern world by creating innovative solutions for everyday needs.
