Why synthetic cladding

SpeedWall panels are used as wall cladding for operating rooms, treatment rooms, ICU rooms and other rooms with high hygienic requirements. SpeedWall panels take the form of smooth, non-absorbent, easily washable sheets of pure, extruded, non-plasticized PVC.

The right operating room finish—why is it so important?

When choosing the right finish for operating and treatment rooms, the most important issue is to meet certain technical requirements, as they guarantee the health safety of patients and facilitate the work of staff. Restrictive sanitary and assembly rules are met by our aesthetically pleasing operating room panel building. It makes it possible to cover the walls with materials of maximum connectivity, which prevent the formation of spaces between individual elements prone to the settlement of contaminants. Thanks to the use of materials based on modern technology, the surfaces also gain the highest degree of protection against bacteria. In addition to the required technical aspects, operating room wall panels can also stand out for their interesting aesthetics, which soothe the eyes and promote concentration while undertaking medical activities. Not only are solidly constructed, but also decorative panels with a variety of graphic motifs are now available.

Operating room enclosure—the main principles of space arrangement

An equally important principle of operating room layout is the ease of cleanliness in the available space, as well as the antibacterial properties of the surfaces surrounding doctors and patients. Exposed tissues are extremely vulnerable to the influence of pathogenic microorganisms during surgery, so the patient environment must maintain unconditional sterility. In such areas, a panelized operating room enclosure made of smooth, easily washable and damage-resistant materials that level the bacteriological threat is ideal. The ideal solution would be to use speedwall panels made of hard and non-plasticized PVC plastic.

Where hygiene, safety, durability and speed come into play.
Cleanliness and hygiene

SpeedWall cladding is an easy to maintain product. If it gets dirty, the smooth surface of SpeedWall Cladding requires only a wipe down with water and a standard cleaning agent.

SpeedWall Cladding installers do all the sheet jointing and forming on site. In addition, our trained installers are a guarantee of fast and professional installation in accordance with existing European Union directives on health and hygiene.

What materials are used in finishing operating rooms?

One of the most important aspects that are taken into account when finishing treatment and operating rooms is their ease of cleaning and disinfection—as maintaining hygiene in these places is a priority. The finishing of operating rooms should therefore take into account the use of smooth, easily washable and damage-resistant materials that level the bacteriological threat. In many respects, the use of PVC cladding, which is subject to easy cleaning and disinfection, may prove to be an excellent solution. The wall materials should also be easily removable, which will reduce possible stagnation of the operating theater in case they need to be replaced. The spaces between special panels are filled by welding with PVC cord, which prevents dirt from sticking between them and reduces the risk of spreading bacteria. Modern materials are designed to cover both walls, and are also resistant to UV radiation, laser beams, steam and all chemicals.

Use of specialized materials in operating room buildings

Maintaining cleanliness in rooms where operations are performed is one of the medical priorities and is defined by legal rules. The use of appropriate finishing materials is of paramount importance in this case. This action must, above all, prevent the risk of infection. Cleaning floors, walls and ceilings should be simple. The choice of elements for finishing medical rooms (including, above all, operating rooms) is therefore determined by the properties of the materials from which they are created. The building's finishes should make it easy to perform all activities related to maintaining aseptics in the rooms.
