Cloud 11 complex,
designed by Snøhetta, A49 Architects for Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC).
A complex with Thailand's largest elevated park is opening in the heart of Sukhumvit, one of Bangkok's most vibrant neighborhoods . Cloud 11 was developed in collaboration between Snøhetta and local studio A49 Architects for Magnolia Quality Development Corporation (MQDC). The 250,000-square-meter site combines ecological, social and cultural functions, and the central courtyard has become the heart of urban life, encouraging gatherings and activities.

A complex that combines work, living and recreation
The project, which will open in March in the southern part of Sukhumvit, was created as a space for creative companies and entrepreneurs. Cloud 11 integrates living, working and recreation, offering hotels, market halls and dining venues. At the same time, it addresses Bangkok's pressing challenges: a dramatic lack of green space, high temperatures, air pollution and frequent flooding, becoming an innovative urban solution for residents and visitors.

A city in layers
Cloud 11 is distinguished by its horizontal structure, in contrast to the vertical skyscrapers that dominate Bangkok. The buildings fit into the layered fabric of the city - between the stores, the Skytrain line and the new skyscrapers. Diverse functions are clustered around a central courtyard that serves as the social and ecological heart. The main courtyard, elevated above ground level, creates a secure area that protects against flooding while providing shade and ventilation. It features Thailand's largest elevated lawn for daily recreation, cultural events and festivals. Smaller parks, therapeutic gardens, sports fields and playgrounds are arranged around it.

Greenery that cleans the air
and supports biodiversity
Cloud 11 acts as the "green lungs" of the city. Layered vegetation reduces the urban heat island effect, purifies the air and supports the development of urban biodiversity. Soils, plantings and water playgrounds act as ecological "jumping-off points" for wildlife, while local flora increases water retention and strengthens environmental resilience. The complex also takes care of accessibility for all - children, seniors and people with disabilities can use ramps, outdoor elevators and shaded walkways. Green areas and educational gardens encourage daily activity, learning and care for the environment.

Under the glass ceiling
- innovative form and functionality
A large glass block rises above the park. Thanks to such a disjointed block, a space bright, open and accessible to the public was created. The glass building harmonizes with the greenery, and the elevated lawn becomes a central meeting and recreation point. The complex uses natural ventilation, green roofs, shaded facades and permeable paving to reduce energy consumption and manage rainwater. Bioretention ditches, rain gardens and specially selected pavements filter rainwater, while urban furniture made of wood and recycled plastics provide durability and consistent design. The entire space has been designed as a "horizontal landmark" in the city that combines residential, office and recreational functions into a harmonious whole.

A complex that lives 24 hours a day
Cloud 11 is thoughtfully designed to function around the clock. Production studios, educational centers, market halls and hotels create an integrated urban layout that encourages spontaneous encounters and daily activities of residents. Extensive green areas, urban farms and educational gardens provide space for recreation, learning and community events.

Why Cloud 11 is unique
Cloud 11 is not just a complex of buildings or an ordinary park. It is a transformational project that demonstrates how sustainable architecture can respond to urban challenges and create social space for different generations. Its combination of innovative form, functionality and green infrastructure makes it an example for forward-thinking urban developments in the Southeast Asian region. It is scheduled to open in March 2026.
