For the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology, this is the third consecutive year on the highest position in this prestigious ranking. This success coincided with the celebration of the university's 80th anniversary, making it an exceptional anniversary gift. PK can boast not only excellent ranking results, but also the highest grade of A+ in the evaluation of scientific activity and the prestigious RIBA accreditation - the only one of its kind in Poland. In addition, the faculty of landscape architecture also ranked 1st in its category (agricultural, forestry and veterinary sciences), improving on last year's 2nd position.

In turn, the Faculty of Architecture at the Gdansk University of Technology also confirmed its strong position nationwide, winning ex aequo 1st place. The university has remained at the top for years, and faculties such as architecture and spatial management enjoy recognition both among candidates and in the academic community. This is further evidence of WA PG's high level of education and scientific development.

In third place, ex aequo, were: Faculty of Architecture of Wrocław University of Technology and Faculty of Architecture of Silesian University of Technology. Both universities are also among the national leaders and have maintained a high level of education in architecture for years.

What is the "Perspektywy" Ranking of Study Directions?

The Ranking of Study Directions has been developed since 2000 by the Educational Foundation "Perspektywy". Its main purpose is to help male and female college candidates make an informed choice of universities and majors. The ranking is part of a broader compilation of higher education institutions, including four main rankings:

  1. Ranking of Academic Universities,

  2. Ranking of Non-Public Universities,

  3. Ranking of Public Academies of Social Sciences and Vocational Universities,

  4. Ranking of Study Directions - the most detailed of the listings.

The 2025 edition evaluates 74 groups of majors within nine scientific fields: humanities, social sciences, economics, science, natural sciences, technology, medical and health sciences, as well as agriculture, forestry and veterinary sciences.

The evaluation of majors is based on 12 or 13 indicators, assigned to six main criteria:

  • prestige,

  • success of graduates,

  • scientific potential,

  • teaching potential,

  • academic potential,

  • internationalization, and other additional indicators.

The weights of each criterion are adjusted to the specifics of the evaluated faculty, which makes the ranking a reliable and objective source of information for future students.

The full list of universities ranked can be found on the website of the Perspektywy publishing house.
