The project Hala Mirage byAleksandra Widłak of the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology is an architectural and urban planning concept located in Frombork, between the pier and the Sailing Port. The premise is part of a comprehensive study for waterfront areas and addresses the need to activate the waterfront and strengthen the city's relationship with the water. A key aspect of the project is respect for the historical and landscape context of the site, related to the dominance of Cathedral Hill. The new development does not compete with the cathedral, but organizes the space and emphasizes its prominence through view axes, scale and urban composition. Architecture here becomes a tool for dialogue between past and present.

a function that enlivens the space
The Mirage Hall serves as a multi-seasonal food court facility that operates year-round. The centerpiece of the premise is an experience center inspired by the figure of Nicolaus Copernicus, combining education with an interactive experience of the space.
The project is complemented by a SPA & Wellness zone, recreational spaces and a food court, creating an attractive meeting place for locals, tourists and those using the port's infrastructure. This is an example of architecture that does not just "stand", but actively builds the social life of the city.

city and water - a new relationship
Special emphasis was placed on active use of the bay. The project provides for the operation of a sailing school and infrastructure for training and water activities. In this way, the waterfront ceases to be merely a scenic backdrop and becomes a space for real action and experience of water.

The award confirms that architecture can combine sensitivity to context, functionality and modern urban thinking.
The Mirage Hall is a vision of a place that combines culture, recreation, gastronomy and education. The project shows that contemporary architecture can strengthen the identity of a city without losing its openness and freshness. It is a proposal for the waterfront as a living organism that responds to the needs of people and the landscape.
