A meeting place for residents, a space for sports and cultural development - and at the same time a tourist haven in a modern style - is offered by a facility designed by {tag:studenci} of Wydział Architektury Politechniki Warszawskiej under the supervision of Karolina Tulkowska-Słyk, Ph.D., arch. professor at the university. This is a fresh proposal that would stand out on the map of Leczyca, while not dominating the surrounding picturesque landscape.
The building is to serve as a base for sports clubs and folklore ensembles, and can also be made available to schools; it also includes an open part for residents and tourists.

A response to the lack of infrastructure in Leczyca
The author noted the lack of adequate infrastructure in the city of Leczyca adapted for residents. That's why in part A of the designed building she planned to build two multifunctional halls, equipped with facilities adapted to target groups. Folk groups will be able to use a recording studio, and athletes will be able to use a gym, with a floor that cushions jumps. Both halls can be observed from a balcony on the +1 level, as well as from small grandstands.

For tourists visiting the Leczycka Land, there is a Part B, which includes a workshop (e.g. for repairing tourist equipment) and equipment rental, as well as a buffet. Above both parts dominates the observation tower, designed for observing the surrounding picturesque landscape and the historic settlement in Tuma.

The Culture and Sports Center was located near the City Park and the tourist trail route. The layout of the building allows visitors to choose their level of involvement in the center's activities, thanks to entrances planned in different zones.
respect for the neighborhood and landscape
The designer also took care to respect the landscape.
During the design, attention was also paid to respecting the landscape. The building, with its dispersed form, enters into conflict with the surrounding landscape as little as possible. Elements of small architecture and forms of retention support a location struggling with the problem of drought in the area. The building's architecture, characterized by green roofs and swales that drain rainwater into the ground, further supports the processes of soaking water into the native soil.

The dispersed form of the building and its wooden facades are also conducive to this. The surroundings are connected to the interior of the building through a hiking path and adjacent terraces. Also, the positioning of the building remains dependent on the surrounding objects. The author based it on two main compositional axes. The long one - towards the historic Tum pod Łęczycą, and the short axis - which is an extension of the park's compositional axis, introducing the center of the layout.

Differentiating the character of the building by means of transparent and solid walls guarantees the penetration of the landscape into the interior, on the one hand, and on the other hand, the planning reflecting the subsequent functional areas.

With its dispersed structure and wooden construction, the Culture and Sports Center blends in with the neighborhood, and its varied functions make it not only a modern tourist haven, but also a meeting place for locals.
