swissporXPS is a state-of-the-art insulation material that, thanks to its unique properties such as very high resistance to moisture, frost and mechanical damage, is ideal for thermal insulation of those parts of the building where other materials fail. It is a comprehensive solution that provides durable thermal insulation from the foundation to the roof.

Thermal insulation of footings
Foundation footings are a critical component of any building. Their proper insulation is crucial to the durability and energy efficiency of the structure. On the one hand, swissporXPS protects the building from energy losses, and on the other hand it shields the waterproofing from punctures and mechanical damage. Thanks to its unique physical-mechanical properties, it retains its thermal-insulating properties despite long-term use, during which it is exposed to groundwater vapor with aggressive substances. swissporXPS is resistant to ground pressure and perfectly withstands freeze/thaw cycles.
Thermal insulation of foundation slabs
For foundation slabs, high mechanical strength under long-term loading is crucial. The foundation slab is the foundation of the entire building, so its proper thermal insulation is crucial for the stability and energy efficiency of the structure. Because of the loads, the most important parameter is the compressive strength, which in the case of swissporXPS is at an outstanding level.

Thermal insulation of walls in the plinth zone
The plinth zone of a building is particularly vulnerable to moisture and mechanical damage. It is most often performed using the light-wet method (ETICS) as part of facade insulation. The dedicated material is swissporXPS boards with a waffle surface, which increases the adhesion of subsequent layers of the system, such as moldings or clinker, preventing them from falling off.
Thermal insulation of floors on the ground
Correctly designed thermal insulation of floors on the ground provides comfort and aesthetics. In the case of floors in garages and basements, a large temperature difference causes a cold floor effect. You can get rid of this inconvenience by insulating the floor with swissporXPS boards. Garage floors are often subjected to significant loads, so suitably hard insulation with a compressive strength of at least 300 kPa should be used. Depending on the planned loads, XPS boards with a strength of 500 kPa or 700 kPa can be used - they will also work well in industrial halls and hangars.

Thermal insulation for roofs
swissporXPS 300 is used in roof structures - especially green roofs, ballasted roofs and communication roofs. In an inverted system, where thermal insulation is located above the waterproofing, it is crucial to use materials with minimal absorption and high compressive strength. On such roofs, the thermal insulation additionally plays a protective role for the waterproofing layer, protecting it from weather and mechanical damage.
