PLP City Range,
design: ASWA (Architectural Studio of Work - Aholic).
In the bustling heart of Bangkok, in the prestigious Thonglor district, a building has been constructed that changes the rules of the game - literally and figuratively. PLP City Range is not only a place for golf lovers, but above all a space where advanced technology blends harmoniously with groundbreaking design. Designed by the ASWA (Architectural Studio of Work - Aholic) studio, the facility is distinguished by a façade of precast concrete that not only catches the eye, but also serves specialized functional purposes. It's a project that sets new standards in multifunctional architecture.

PLP City Range - an innovative space
combining sports, retail and housing
The six-story building was created to make maximum use of the available space, offering differentiated functions on each floor. The first floor houses a spacious entrance hall along with a retail area and visitor parking. The second floor is dedicated to a youth golf simulation center and canteen, while the third floor is an exclusive VIP area with luxury rooms and a bar. The fourth floor is a semi-open space for golf training and other sports activities, where natural ventilation enhances the open-air atmosphere. The last two floors are home to the owners' apartments, which combine the comforts of home with views of the Thonglor district.

modularity and functionality
- how the six floors were designed
ASWA designers created a building with a minimalist form, where each level has a clearly defined function and adapted space. The diversity of functions is subordinated to the needs of users - from public spaces to private apartments. The result is a harmonious and flexible layout that responds to the diverse requirements of residents and visitors.

concrete façade as a play of light and shadow
- symbolism of golf hitting
The building's facade is primarily a juxtaposition of concave and convex precast concrete panels. These modules create a dynamic effect of light and shadow that changes with the angle of sunlight, referring to the arc of a golf stroke. Concrete, as the dominant material, gives the facade an austere but precise form, and the clear horizontal divisions between floors also act as protection from excessive sunlight.

Futuristic capsule on the first floor
- contrast of raw concrete and modern form
On the first floor, the attention is drawn to a rounded metal structure raised above ground level, resembling a capsule or aerodynamic vehicle. Made of material that reflects the surroundings, it creates an interesting contrast with the matte and raw texture of the concrete. This element brings a futuristic touch to the design, emphasizing the innovative character of the building.

windows in the rounded corners
- light that does not interfere with technology
As an additional solution, the window openings located in the rounded corner of the building, extending from the second to the fifth floors, provide optimal interior lighting and panoramic views without disturbing the advanced golf simulators. This thoughtful combination of function and form demonstrates a high level of design and attention to user comfort.

Minimalism and modernism in the facility
PLP City Range is an example of contemporary modernist architecture with a clear focus on minimalism, functionality and dialogue with the environment. The massing rises on a rectangular plan with rounded corners that soften the severity of the structure and give it fluidity. The raw concrete covering the facade was left without unnecessary ornamentation, emphasizing the purity of the form. The building is surrounded by carefully designed greenery and fencing, creating a subtle transition between urban and natural spaces.

Lightness and functionality in a geometric pattern
The lightweight, openwork structure of thin metal rods crowning the building lends lightness and harmony to the mass. The geometric pattern of this element, which resembles a pergola, combines aesthetic qualities with functionality - it can protect the roof terrace from excessive sunlight or serve as a support for installations such as photovoltaic panels. The concrete attic complements the minimalist architectural language of the entire building.

VIP spaces and suites
- comfort and views of the prestigious Thonglor district
The top floors feature suites, with double height and panoramic views of the vibrant Thonglor district. The VIP area located on the third floor, on the other hand, offers private simulators, rooms and a bar, providing comfort for the most demanding users. This layout of the space combines daily life with recreation, which is an important asset of this multi-functional complex.

modernity and functionality
in perfect harmony
PLP City Range is an example of contemporary architecture that combines functionality with refined form, fitting into the prestigious context of Bangkok's Thonglor district. The ASWA team's design perfectly demonstrates how modern technologies can work in harmony with minimalist design and raw concrete, creating a space tailored to the different needs of users - from golf enthusiasts to residents and customers of commercial spaces. Thoughtful structural solutions and aesthetic details make this building not only a usable space, but also a testament to contemporary architectural sensibilities.
