Anna Wawrzyniak

"I am a graduate of the Interior Architecture program at the Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning at the Silesian University of Technology in Gliwice. I also studied art history at the University of Silesia—an experience that has shaped my perspective on architecture, art, and the objects that make up our surroundings from the very beginning.

I gained my professional experience at Pracownia Brokat in Katowice
and at the Medusa Group office in Bytom. I’ve also completed projects
for the Warsaw office of Modoso, and I collaborated with Konior Studio
on the design and implementation of an exhibition dedicated to the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra—“NOSPR: Encounters, City—Place—Music”—presented at the GAGA Architecture Gallery in the Małopolska Garden of Arts in Kraków.

For seven years, I created and edited my own column on interior architecture for the lifestyle magazine “BE,” available in Silesia. This experience allowed me to view architecture not only from the perspective of a designer,
but also as someone who can talk about it, observe changing trends, and recognize the significance of objects, materials, and our everyday surroundings.

In design, authenticity, detail, and the objects we surround ourselves with are particularly important to me. I believe that a good interior takes time. It shouldn’t
be a finished picture created in a single moment, but rather a space that gradually takes on a personal character—thanks to art, mementos, objects found over time, and things that truly say something about us.

That’s why I don’t design spaces just to look perfect on the day the project is completed. I care about interiors that mature alongside their residents. It is precisely these individual objects, materials, textures, and details that make a space more than just a design—it becomes a place of its own.

I view design as a process of collaboration and carefully getting to know a person—their needs, lifestyle, and tastes. The most interesting interiors emerge
when the architect doesn’t impose a predefined style but creates the right framework for the personalities of the residents. I run my studio in Katowice.”
