Mechanical ventilation with heat recovery - PRODMAX recuperation system

01 of September '20

Prodmax recuperation system
From the series "Heating, ventilation, air conditioning - inspiration and solutions 2020".

Recuperation protects against smog and contributes to energy savings. In the pursuit of tightness of buildings providing warm rooms, we often forget that the lack of proper ventilation of the building, not only contributes to the development of dangerous diseases, but also causes discomfort for residents. Lack of proper ventilation and access to fresh air causes bacteria, mites, viruses, as well as unpleasant odors or lingering moisture in the house.

Air handling units and recuperation systems available in the offer of Prodmax allow us to take care of fresh and filtered air in our homes much better than gravity ventilation.

The recuperation system is ducts, boxes, manifolds and, of course, the air handling unit. All these components make up the whole system. For the system to work properly, i.e. to guarantee the maximum possible results, the recuperator alone - even the best - is not enough. The design and execution of the entire installation is only a complete success!

In Prodmax's offer you will find the VENT-FLEX System. This is the latest solution in the field of ventilation for houses, apartments and buildings of small cubic capacity. VENT-FLEX is precisely flexible ducts, expansion boxes, distribution boxes, with the help of which you can quickly and effectively make the installation of mechanical ventilation with compliance with all building regulations in force in the European Union. Among the main advantages of VENT-FLEX are the flexibility of the system and small dimensions, thanks to which the installation can be made in the ceiling, walls and ceilings.

Air exchange in a supply and exhaust ventilation system with heat recovery is provided by the air handling unit, which is commonly called a recuperator. It is the heart of the entire recuperation system. The air handling units of the PRO MAX and AIR EXPERT series are products designed to meet high standards of quality and safety. An innovation is the ability to connect aCO2, humidity or smog sensor to the system.

Prodmax offers EPP and metal air handling units, as well as a full cross-section of the recuperation installation range. Prodmax provides its customers with the highest quality products, recuperation designs and installation of the entire system through authorized installers.

Recuperator - how does it work?

Recuperator providing adequate ventilation of rooms and allowing significant savings in heating costs is becoming an indispensable equipment in modern buildings.

The operation of the recuperator allows heat recovery from polluted air. Thus, fresh and filtered air is brought into the living spaces, and the used air, with a high carbon dioxide content, is removed. Such operation of recuperation systems allows to save up to 50% of the cost of heating the building during the heating season. This is because recuperation allows air to be exchanged without the need to open windows causing heat loss and inflow from the atmosphere, which, especially during the heating season, turns out to be excessively polluted. Recuperation allows you to breathe fresh and clean air without opening windows (and without wasting energy).

How to use a recuperator in modern buildings?

Houses being built today are increasingly being designed to take advantage of renewable energy sources. If you are facing the decision to build your own house, it is worth considering the use of a recuperation system in it. This will not only allow you to take care of the fresh air inside the house, but also save if you invest in equipment such as a heat pump, thanks to a much lower demand for space heating. Recuperation will also be an ideal solution for people suffering from increasingly common allergies. This is because recuperation filters trap dust particles and pollutants that contribute to the deterioration of allergy sufferers' health. An energy-efficient and healthy building with a recuperation system and heating energy obtained from the interior of the earth will allow you to take much better care of the cleanliness of the environment around you!

Ground heat exchanger as an additional component of recuperation system

The purpose of a ground heat exchanger is to heat in winter and cool in summer the air that is introduced into buildings. It is an additional component of the recuperation system, based on functional and efficient operation. Why invest in a ground heat exchanger?

Using a ground heat exchanger as an additional component of the recuperation system allows us to make the air more chemically and biologically clean, and is enriched in micro, macro and ultramicro elements in ionic form. On warm days, we can enjoy a feeling of pleasant coolness by means of dehumidification and lowering the temperature of the supplied air. This significantly improves the microclimate in the building, which makes the ground heat exchanger an excellent addition to a mechanical ventilation system with heat recovery.

What costs should I pay for the installation of a recuperator?

Pricing for the purchase and installation of a recuperator is individual for each building. It depends, among other things, on the type of control, size, or model of the device.

  • The cost of purchasing recuperators ranges from 7 thousand to 25 thousand zlotys.
  • This device works all year round, so it is necessary to connect it to electricity, which can be about 140-270 zlotys per year.
  • the price of the total ventilation system with installation will be about 17-35 thousand zlotys.
  • inspection once a year will be about 100 zlotys + possible repair.
  • Replacement of filters (once every 3 months) - 50/70 zlotys.

It is possible to buy a recuperator for less money, but then such a device will most likely result in higher energy consumption and therefore higher utility costs with insufficient heat.

It is also possible to obtain a grant for a recuperator - the maximum cost of the grant received (per building) can be up to 10 thousand zlotys. The cost of such a subsidy depends on the monthly income per person in the family. It is worth taking an interest in the subject and taking advantage of the subsidy. Detailed information on the subject is available on the gov.pl website regarding the Clean Air Program.
