For years, wood has remained one of the most important materials used in interior and furniture design. While the methods of processing and applying it are changing, its natural character, grain, and timelessness remain constant.
The milled veneers we’ve added to our lineup expand these possibilities with yet another element—texture. They’re crafted from the highest-quality ALPI veneers, and the combination of the wood’s grain with precision milling gives the surface a three-dimensional character. Depending on the chosen pattern, the effect can be subtle or bold.
This solution allows us to view veneer not only through the lens of color and grain. Texture becomes yet another element that designers can work with.

Wood Grain and Geometry
In classic veneer, color, grain, and the arrangement of the pattern play the main roles. In milled veneer, the milling pattern is added to these elements.
Our collection features 11 ALPI decors, including oak, walnut, and ebony. Each can be milled into various patterns—such as diamond, rhombus, half-round, wave, or trapezoid.
The milling pattern harmonizes with the wood grain, not replacing it but adding an extra dimension. As a result, the same decor can take on a completely different character depending on the chosen milling pattern.
The collection of milled veneers includes 11 colors and 15 milling patterns.

Two thicknesses, various possibilities
We produce milled veneers from ALPI veneer sheets with thicknesses of 2.7 mm and 5.4 mm.
The introduction of the thicker 5.4 mm veneer has allowed us to expand the collection with additional patterns that require greater material depth. This enables us to create more three-dimensional and distinct milling patterns. The choice of surface is therefore not limited to color alone. You can also match the pattern and milling depth to the scale of the element and the effect the material is intended to create in the interior.

Milled and Smooth Veneer—One Decor
One of the collection’s most important features is its material consistency. Since milled veneers are made from ALPI veneer sheets, a color-matched smooth ALPI veneer is available for every milled variant. This allows you to combine milled veneer with its smooth counterpart within a single project, maintaining material and color consistency.
There is no need to search for a second material with a similar color. Smooth and milled surfaces remain color-coordinated, and individual elements can be differentiated by texture without changing the selected finish.
For every color of milled veneer, a smooth veneer is available in a corresponding color.

A material that interacts with light
The three-dimensional structure of the veneer causes the surface to react intriguingly to light. The milling creates a subtle play of light and shadow that further highlights the pattern and makes the surface change as the interior lighting shifts.
From small details to larger surfaces
Milled veneers can be used on furniture fronts and components, built-in units, doors, decorative panels, and custom-designed interior furnishings.
On a small surface, milling can emphasize a piece of furniture’s detail. When applied to a larger surface, it creates a repetitive rhythm and can become one of the elements defining the character of the entire interior. It can serve as a single accent or as a motif consistently repeated throughout the entire project.
Smooth and milled veneers can be combined in a single project while maintaining a consistent color scheme throughout.

It’s worth seeing the material in person
In the case of milled veneers, a photo doesn’t tell the whole story. Only direct contact with the material allows you to properly assess the depth of the milling, the proportions of the pattern, the texture, and the way the surface reacts to light.
That’s why a sample is an important part of the design process —it allows you to compare patterns, pair them with other materials, and choose the right texture for a specific interior.
