Classic ceramic covering with improved form

Clay tiles are the most durable roofing material. Although it seems that clay is just a clayey sedimentary rock, it hides great potential. Products manufactured from it are resistant, durable, long-lasting and elegant. Ceramic tiles have survived in excellent condition on buildings several hundred years old. Their charm continues to delight, and this is a testament to their exceptional durability.

Healthy and natural

No roofing material can compare with clay tiles when it comes to health-promoting and ecological considerations. The clay from which they are made is a natural, human-friendly and environmentally safe material. Röben's production facilities use the highest quality clay from the best deposits in Poland. It is also not without significance that the modern manufacturing process minimizes the carbon footprint left behind, and that all Röben products are recyclable. Röben brand clay tiles undergo a thorough, multi-stage quality control with, among other things, laser scanning of each tile, which is a mandatory part of computerized quality control. Thanks to the natural raw materials from which they are made and the possibility of recycling, ceramic products are completely ecological.

Enhanced resistance

In order to further protect their surface, they are subjected to the process of engobing or glazing. Appropriate minerals, metal oxides or glaze particles are then added to the clay. Engobed products are very durable and at the same time vapor-permeable, while glazed products - with a glossy layer of glaze on the surface - gain a resistant, tight, uniform and pore-closing layer of ceramics. No algae, moss or fungi will develop on such a roof.

Energy efficiency and durability

Ceramic tiles are successfully used in energy-efficient construction. This is supported by their high technical parameters and thermal insulation properties. In summer, they protect the building from overheating, thanks to the fact that they take a long time to heat up. In winter, on the other hand, thanks to their low thermal conductivity coefficient, from excessive heat escape from heated rooms. It should also be mentioned their high acoustic insulation, which will certainly be appreciated by those who have a usable attic in their homes. Due to the fact that ceramic tiles are fired at a very high temperature, they are characterized by high frost resistance, low water absorption and exceptional resistance to harsh weather conditions. In addition, they are non-flammable and resistant to UV rays. Röben ceramic tiles do not change color, are durable, long-lasting and covered by a 30-year manufacturer's warranty.

Improved shape

Tiles, despite their long history, are constantly being improved. Both those with a traditional appearance and models that meet current trends have been equipped with a modern fastening and joining system - they have more precise locks, allowing better protection of the roof, for example, against rainwater. The best example is NEW in the Röben brand, the VERONA tile. It is an S-shaped tile with a deepened curve with an increased sliding tolerance of as much as 41 mm. Its format has been enlarged, which will translate into savings during construction. Fewer tiles are needed to cover the slope, which, combined with their light weight, will translate into less strain on the roof structure. Another tile that stands out for its larger format, ensures quick installation and speeds up roofing work is the MONZAplus model. In its case, only about 9.5 pieces of tile are needed for 1 m2. PIEMONT tile with its characteristic flattened wave is also an interesting proposition. It is a universal covering thanks to its large sliding and extending tolerance of as much as 38 mm. It is perfect for renovated roofs due to the possibility of using it on the existing rafter framing. An enduring popularity among investors and architects is the original BERGAMO flat tile, which gives the effect of a uniform, smooth surface on the slopes. It blends beautifully with modern architecture and minimalist style. Thanks to its technical parameters and construction, it creates a covering with increased resistance to changing weather conditions.
