Sonata Touch Wi-Fi is an expansion of the popular Sonata series with remote control functionality. Each switch is equipped with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi communication module, which allows wireless connection to the home Internet network. This gives the user the ability to control lighting and blinds using the TUYA Smart mobile app or by voice - through integration with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant.

The series includes one-way switches, two-way switches, as well as dedicated switches for controlling roller shutters, making the system a complete solution for controlling basic smart home functions.

Construction and design - more than functionality

The distinguishing element of Sonata Touch Wi-Fi is the elegant glass touch panel - available in two variants: smooth and frosted. The surface of the panel is scratch-resistant, and the LED backlight subtly indicates the status of the device, making it easy to use in the dark.

The entire system has a modular design and fits into standard Ø60 mm flush-mounted boxes. As a result, the installation of switches does not require special boxes. The frames - whether classic, glass or metal - are available in arrangements ranging from single to five-fold, making it possible to create aesthetically pleasing sets even in elaborate interiors.

Installation and configuration - simple and quick

From the installer's point of view, the installation of Sonata Touch Wi-Fi is smooth and trouble-free. The switch module is connected like a standard switch - using the phase wire, neutral wire and output wires to the loads. The roller shutter control version requires two outputs to the drive (up/down) and an N wire - so it's a good idea to plan the wiring in advance according to the technical documentation. Sonata Touch Wi-Fi series switches require a full power supply. Once the fixtures are connected and installed, the system is configured through the TUYA app - an intuitive wizard guides the user through the process of adding a device, assigning it to a room, creating schedules and scenes.

The advantage of the system is that it can work both locally and remotely - the user can control lights and blinds from outside the house, which increases comfort and security (e.g., presence simulation).

Control and automation functions

Sonata Touch Wi-Fi offers a range of control options:

  • Local touch control - each touch panel works like a classic switch, with an on/off or raise/lower blinds function.
  • App-based control - the user can turn on lights, control blinds, set schedules and create scenes (e.g., "movie theater," "home exit," "alarm clock").
  • Voice control - full compatibility with Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
  • Remote access - possible control of devices from outside the local network, e.g. while on vacation.
