Today's construction industry places high demands on investors and contractors in terms of durability, efficiency and ecology. One of the key areas where these expectations intersect is the roof - especially in the case of flat roof structures, which are extremely vulnerable to weathering and intense heating. A solution that not only provides effective waterproofing, but also significantly affects the thermal comfort of the building, is Hyperdesmo's liquid polyurethane membrane system.

Why are flat roofs particularly vulnerable to wear and tear?

Flat roofs are particularly demanding because of the risk of permanent water-logging and intense exposure to UV radiation and extreme temperature amplitudes. Even minor leaks can lead to serious moisture problems and deterioration of the building. Traditional solutions, based on paper or PVC films, involve a lot of joints and seams that can weaken over time.

Hyperdesmo liquid membrane - flexibility, durability, simplicity

The Hyperdesmo system is based on a single-component, cold-applied polyurethane resin that, once cured, forms a seamless, flexible and waterproof coating. Its exceptional mechanical properties (elongation at break >600% at 23°C) and excellent adhesion to various substrates (including old coverings) make it applicable to numerous renovations of depleted roofing and new construction.

Advantages of the Hyperdesmo system:

  • application without welding and gluing,

  • very high resistance to UV radiation (100% aliphatic membrane!) and ozone,

  • possibility of application on existing roofing (tar paper, PVC, TPO/FPO, sandwich board),

  • very low structural loading (approx. 2.3 kg/m²),

  • also used for spot repairs,

  • service life of at least 25 years (class W3),

  • fire resistance: broof(t1 oreaz t4).

"Cool roof" technology - benefits not only in summer

In an era of climate change and rising energy costs, the ability of roof membranes to reflect solar radiation and return heat is becoming crucial. Hyperdesmo fits perfectly into this philosophy with its high solar reflectance index(SRI), which was determined in accordance with ASTM E1980-01.

Test results:

  • average solar reflectance: 82,2% ± 0,1%,

  • average emissivity: 0.87 ± 0.2,

  • significant reduction in roof surface temperature.

The result? By obtaining SRI=102, we can talk about the so-called passive cooling of the building (without energy expenditure). This has a capital effect on reducing the phenomenon of the urban heat island, reducing the intensity of air conditioning operation in the warm months, improving the efficiency of photovoltaic installations and extending the life of the roof structure (thanks to a lower temperature amplitude).

Renovation without ripping - ecologically and economically

Instead of the costly and cumbersome replacement of the old roofing, Hyperdesmo makes it possible to seal the roof without removal.
